A horrible example what cars can do in wrong hands!

From my point of view this is a highly questionable posting and should be deleted from the forums.

EDIT:
1st of all: this video is not even rudimentary related to sim racing or racing at all.
2nd of all: the behaviour of the bikers before the situation escalated is at least questionable.
3rd of all: for some of us, the behaviour of the car-driver may even be comprehensible.

Some background information on this accident can be found here. The article is surely somewhat tendencious, but it's still worth reading, since it contains some information, that Timo obviously missed.

My point is the bad decision the Range-Rover driver did after hitting the stupid biker. Escaping the scene, injuring more (this time) "innocent" bikers and damaging their bikes was the worst he could do. That just made the bikers mad. Should have called the police and not began to act criminally himself. This was an annual bikers ride which was poorly organised and should have banned by police.

according to the newspaper, several riders started hitting the car and slashing the tires, when he had stopped initially after the accident. Having his wife and a 2-year-old child aboard, I can perfectly understand, why he gets into panic and tries to escape there. The action of the biker cutting him off was one of the silliest moves I saw for quite a long time. The driver probably looked more into the mirrors for the other bikers than on the road, realising too late that some braindead tries to cut him off right after overtaking...

There is much more information now than in the morning when I posted this video.

Including who there were in the car and what is claimed to have happened after the first incident.

Some behaviour of both bikers and the car driver is understandable but not acceptable.

I can believe damaging the car but pulling the driver out and beating him in front of his family for a fallen bike and biker?

The real rage began when the driver fled.

There is no rewind in real life, you can't say this or that if someone had done something the other way.

We are not here to judge anybody, it's the job of New York legal system. Not an easy job.

Well if I would would be in the same situation like the Range driver, I would probably have acted the same way.

In the end of the video you can see that these guys are ready to do anything to the car driver and his family , so the only chance he had not to get at least beaten up was to flee.

We (as always in those videos) dont know what happened before or after. But considering that what is shown, the bikers clearly did wrong.

In any way I think that its welcome to post things like this here if its being posted to ''Miscellaneous''. I'm also interested in other things than Sim racing, so why not. Will also help to keep the forums active.

As far as I know, nobody was killed... broken legs only, one of the bikers had both legs broken.

As it seem to be, the driver won't be charged for anything...

ich habs bei LiveLeak gesehen, habe eben nochmal nachgesehen, ich glaub es wurde die infobox geändert, jetzt steht nix mehr von einem toten.
war wohl hoffentlich ne falschmeldung hoffe ich.
