I've been racing GTL for 8 years now and am so happy that the good Altbierbude is here keeping our game alive!

My biggest challenge with being part of the 'bude is that my German is not good enought to fully understand all the forum posts and the regulations etc for joining race leagues.

For example I see there is an ETCC race tonight at Watkins Glen.
Is it popssible for me to race tonight, and join the ETCC VI mid season?
Or to join a race as an 'unofficial entry'?

Would I need to install teamspeak?
Will the server be locked for registered teams only, and if so where/how would I get a password?

88 laps? That would mean multiple fuel stops, correct?

I've spent a many many hours this week racing the other regular drivers on the Watkins server, and would be really glad to get to race there tonight...

you can race at Server 5 tonight, no pw needed, everything else after race...

Hi there,
you can read the rules here, which are also available in english [Scroll down]. To sign up to the ETCC you have to find at least one teammate.

You can sign up your team on this page. Unfortunately, it's only available in german, so I'll translate it for you:

1. "Wie soll Euer Team heißen?" = Your team's name.

2. "Bitte wähle dein Wunschfahrzeug, mit dem dein Team an den Start gehen möchte." = Select your car. [Keep in mind, that you can only choose a car, which hasn't been chosen by another team yet.]

3. "Name Fahrer #1/2/3/4" = The drivers Names.

4. "Für den Papierkram bitte noch eine Emailadresse" = A mail-adress for informations regarding to the ETCC.

5. "Was liegt noch auf dem Herzen?" = Anything you'd like to tell the race control. [Not necessary]


After the registration, the race control will send you the link to the ETCC-"office" and the passwords by E-Mail.
Remember, that you have to sign up your Team for each race separately.

As an alternative, you can join the public server, which is offered beside the official races. You won't need a password or team. However , racing in the ETCC with a team is much more fun.

I ran on server 5 last night.
Wsa doing great, running in 2nd... then got a S&G...
Obviously one of those tracks where you don't always get warning for cut track or S&G, so I simply dropped out just befor the first round o fuel sops
Great racing though guys, thanks!
