Unfortunately there are lots of ways you can cheat in GTL.
You can spot the the cheaters by looking at the bad lines they take and still get damn fast laps or perhaps there car is just quicker on the straight for no obvious reason.
Tyre pressure can play an important part in your set ups. Pumping them up more can get them to heat up quicker for cornering and give a little extra straight line speed but if they get too hot they will wear out quicker.
I try to get my tyres around the same heat back and front for a better balanced car.
Unless you are a real natural racer it could take you quite a long time to master any one car and track. I've been on GTL for around 33 months now and recently, due to better FFB settings (cheers Taffy m8) I can feel the car more and it has made me more confident & faster.
Just remember though... Cheaters will never get the satisfaction of knowing that they won by sheer skill etc. They are a sad sad bunch of losers really!!
Try some of the online set ups and please don't be tempted to cheat.
