Dear Buddy Buders----I'm trying to get back to racing again but windows 7 is not cooperating. Does anyone have a quick starforce fix yet.

Many of the drivers in Germany use a special GTL version which comes from a big german computer game magazine in august/september.
This version is without any starforce protection.

I've got no idea what you have tried and what not, but have you already tried the method told by Starforce support?

I had GTL running with Vista (Downgraded to XP later due to issues with other games) and that's what did the job then: Click. Try the second method with sfdrvup.exe and remember to run the program as Administrator.

I had an idea! Install SKYPE http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windows/!! Then u search for me. My Skypename is WALDYBERGEN. And now i can send u the GTL DVD Image, without the STarForce Protection,from the German Game Magazine! This u can install on Win7, i use it on win7 Ultimate,too! And with ur Serial u can do online! Hallo Leute, ich habe gerade meinen Rechner mit Win7 neu aufgesetzt. Hatte zwar die Probleme mit GTL/StarForce/Win7 schon länger verfolgt und mir deswegen auch die damalige CBS Version nachbestellt aber diese ist nun nach fast 3 Monaten des wartens und 3 maligen bestellens noch nicht eingetroffen. Deswegen habe ich heute mein original GTL rausgekramt und wollte mein Glück versuchen aber keine Chance. Mein System wird nach dem Neustart immer zum Wiederherstellungspunkt zurückgesetzt, auch das ablehnen des Neustarts und ausführen des Starforce Updates will es nicht funktionieren.

Hat hier jemand noch einen anderen Tipp (ausser die CBS Version noch mal zu ordern) oder kann mir eventuell sogar eine CBS Version hochladen...whatever...es wäre einfach schön wenn mein GTL wieder funktioniert gerade jetzt wo der Opel und der BMW Turbo veröffentlicht wurden.

Ich habe sonst keine andere Idee.

Aldasack, wie hast Du es denn dann hinbekommen? Ich habe jetzt auch eine Parallel-Win7-Installation und brauch XP im Moment nur noch für GTL. Wäre für Hinweise wie man die Original-Version zum laufen bekommt dankbar. Ich habe mir zwar die CBS nachbestellt, bin mir allerdings nicht so sicher wann die endlich kommt .

bin dank Google hier gelandet und habe auch Win 7 x64 mit dem Problem, daß mein GTL hier nicht läuft.

Nun lese ich hier nur "Danke, läuft wieder", aber wie ist mir entgangen.

Kann mich einer updaten? Wäre echt nett...

Was es hier alles sonst so gibt, RESPEKT!
Hab mich bisher mit dem Original-GTL begnügt.
Aber Eure selbst gemachten Autos und Strecken, echt Klasse!!! Sind die nur für Online-Racing oder gehn die auch Offline? Muß für Online wohl noch einiges an Training investieren.

Windows7 und die original GTL-CD sind ein Problem.
eine Alternative: die Computerbild Spiele Nr. 09/2009 DVD nachbestellen - die funzt (kostet 4 Euroirgendwas incl. Versand)

Autos funktionieren natürlich auch offline (macht aber keiner)

Üben kann man besser online - mit anderen zusammen


(ps: in der Computerbild 07/2009 ist GTR2 enthalten - wer's mag...)

such hier im Forum nach: CBS version, sprich computer bild spiele zeitung.
im heft 9/2009 ist GTL drin ohne starforce kopierschutz, die brauchst du für win7.

struggeling with massive lag on WinXP I managed to get my original GTL working on Windows 7 64 bit with the hint I found in this post:

I did not want to wait for the delivery of the CBS version.

Da ich noch keine einfache Anleitung zu diesem Thema gefunden habe, hier nun für all die jenigen, die GTL unter Windows 7 nicht zum laufen bringen und nicht extra die starforce freie Computer Bild Spiele Version nachbestellen wollen (welche es übrigens hier gibt CBS Link), für die habe ich diesen Thread aus einem englischen Forum mit einer schrittweisen Anleitung gefunden Forum Link.

Hoffe damit allen geholfen zu haben.

Had the same issue when i moved to Windows 7.
I have purchased the game, so as it is the only solution (ouside germany where they have the unprotected version), i installed the crack that is available easily from the web (google hint: "game copy world"

Then it works good, the only part missing is the updated sound file as the ones in the crack are corrupted. Anyone knows where to get the needed sound files ?

Just take a look on the 2nd link i posted above your post. Thhere you can find the sound fix.

But you never know what comes which such a crack. You know - most cracks contain malware, trojans, rootkits ...

You should keep that in mind.
