Hi all,

I write this message on behalf on POTPOT, as he is not efficient with computers or english.

What happens to him is the following:
1) all his cars have disapeared except 1 cortina as we get when we first install the game
2) whenever he sets his Logitech G25 wheel in settings it works and gauges are moving, but when he goes to play, then the wheel is inactive. Looking at his PLR file it looks like all controller settings are lost.
3) his online name and password was also lost, we already recovered it from our bude friends so he can now connect to the lobby, but cannot join races.

At the end he's blocked and can't play anymore.

I instructed him to reboot the PC, then use the re-installation option of the bude tool, but things are still the same.

Please someone give us some help to repair his setup.
Anything we can do to recover cars and settings ?

all his cars have disapeared except 1 cortina as we get when we first install the game Please read chapter "4. Online Garage File Protection" in dedicated_server.txt in the Support folder of your GTL installation.
When you start GTL with a different online key you will lost all cars and your credits in your profile. You will need a backup of his profile to solve this problem.

Which OS? Google for "Vista Data Redirection".
If just the lines for the controller settings are missing, create a new profile.

POTPOT was not his lobbyname so I can't help.

I think, a re-installation will not help.

Thanks for the tips.
I was able to solve his problem as follows:

1) launch GTL as administrator, as a normal user, GTL can't save files, this is a change from his previous state

2) re-create a new driver profile, because even after 1) GTL was not OK, i guess the driver file got corrupted.

For info his lobbyname was Jackpot.
