Buggered it up! :( 17 Years, 4 Months ago
                    Hi, fellas.

I was doing some file management in my GTL folder today and really screwed something up. I was working with my sound, talent & teams folders. I can no longer get into a game. If I select a car from any class listing, I proceed to the spex page for that car but that's it. The sim just sits there with a little stopwatch flashing on & off. I cannot proceed beyond that point. I cannot retrace my steps to correct the problem.

I've made a fresh install just this aftenoon and have nothing but the base sim files + my old userdata in that new folder. I wish to simply copy over all my totally up-to-date Bude files contained in the Python folder in Program Files but cannot get the Autoloader to recognize the new install as requiring a full upgrade. It says that I'm A-OK and that no new files are required. Is there some switch in the Python folder that I need to throw to get it to recognize the need for all archived tracks & cars to be dumped into the new install? BTW, I did retain the old, previously working GTL install c/w the screw up but the main GTL folder has been renamed to 'GTL_f*ucked' for reference only.

Well, as nobody could offer a time-saving solution, I had to download the full banana to the fresh install. Everything seems to be in its place and working.

                    Thanks.

                    I guess...

There is already a time-saving solution described in the manual of the autoupdater. Just press the F1 key or the Information button and read the fucking manual. But if you don't want to spend 5 minutes for reading it, I won't debar you from doing it the hard way.

Uhhh...well, actually, I did read the manual and discovered the 'reinstallation' and 'archive cleanup' functions but somethng over and above their capabilities to address the problem was taking place.

Thanks for the tip just the same, you condescending clown.
