24h-race Le Mans (english Version)

Date: Saturday, 1st of April 2017

Track: Le Mans

Participants: all teams of ETCC 8 and guest teams

Skin: please use all the same skin in the event.
This makes the evaluation easier for the orga.

Qualifying:
Thursday, 30th of March
08:00 pm to 10:00 pm (German time)

Races :
Race 1: 02:00 pm (German time)
Race 2: 04.30 pm
Race 3: 07.00 pm
Race 4: 9.30 pm

The drivers should be latest in the ABB Lobby 15 minutes before each single race start!


Rules for qualifying:

- Just one driver of a team is allowed at the same time on the qualifying server.
- the overall best lap time of the team will be evaluated.

Rules of the race:

- Minimum 2 different drivers must drive the 4 stages.
- The gap of each single race is handed over tot he next driver.

Attention!
- The chat in the car must be switched ON!
- Auto-Pit must be switched OFF! (Use the option in the ABB Autoupdater)

Procedure race stages 1-4:
- Acces the ABB lobby and choose German chat room (see picture)
- Wait for the announcement of your team in the chat window to join the server!
- Stay in the garage until all drivers/teams have joined the server – don’t leave the pits!
- Race control will switch the server to race session.
- Move into the grid, ignore the countdown and Wait!!! Don’t move!
- (NEW!!!) There are to pace cars!
- Follow the last pace car for 1 lap. Keep in order!!!
- No overtaking, keep close to the car ahead, not to slowly!
- According to the instructions in the chat, get into the order BEHIND the leading pace car.
- If necessary, the final order will be created.
- the formation lap is already the first of the 24 race laps.

Start:

- Race stage 1:
(NEW!!!) INDY start / rolling start!
- The pace car is leaving the track to the pitlane.
Green light and overtaking AFTER passing the finish line!

- Race stage 2-4:
- Proceed like stage 1 but STOP after the formation lap behind the pace car on the right side of the track along the pitlane wall and WAIT!!!
- A pace car will move to the pitlane exit and turn around.
- According the time gap of the former race, the pace car will indicate with the beams the single drivers to start!
- The driver queue has to move slowly forward and the next driver has to wait for the beams of the pace car.
- Attention! NO OVERTAKING on the start finish strait as long drivers are waiting on the right side!
- The maximum gap in the race is 2 laps (but the real gap will be summarized in the assessment!)

Miscellanies:

- Disconnects: the next driver will start behind the last car within the same lap as the leading car.
- Race control will provide minimum two live streams.
- If one driver will race two stages in a row, please change quickly the server.
- Please inform race control about changes of the order of the team drivers BEFORE the next race stage (use chat, TeamSpeak etc.).
- Race control will provide interim race reports for the qualifying and the race.
