möchte euch mein DIY Projekt vorstellen.
Wheelbase DD 15 NM, Grundgerüst Alu und Edelstahl motor und Lenkwelle 4 fach gelagert, 2 mal 90 mm Belüftung, die base wird gesteuert mit einem mks o-drive s und einem AMT 102 V 20480 Cpr Encoder. Dazu ein DIY Alu Rig, DIY Button Box, Lenkrad mit DIY Wheelhub mit 8 Buttons, 4 Encodern. Tastaturhalter und Mauspad. Pedale sind SimJack mit 200 kg loadcell.Nachdem ich die Base nun ca 1 Jahr betreibe, wollte ich die zuvor eingesezte ffBeast Software ersetzen weil die keine automatische spieleprofilerkennung hatte und weils nichts passendes gab hab ich mir halt selbst eine Software gebaut.Als ich fertig war kam mir die Idee gleich noch einen plr Konfigurator mit einzubauen.Mit dem Konfigurator können in einer grafischen Oberfläche alle werte der ffb einstellungen geändert werden. Außerdem wir auch bei jedem Start eine plr,bak eine sicherung erstellt die immer den Stand vor der änderung enthällt, so das einmal was schiefgeht immer die ungeändere plr wieder herstellen kann. Außerdem nutzen wir die bak noch für ein interesantes Feature. Nachdem eine plr geladen wurde und Werte verändert werden wird diese Einstellung eingefärbt und der Wert der vorher eingestellt war in der bak gespeichert. Das hat den Vorteil das wenn man mehrere Werte auf einmal ändert auf die Strecke geht und feststellt, das es doch nicht so passt, die plr wieder lädt alle geänderten Werte farblich angezeigt bekommt und im previos feld noch die Werte von vor der Änderung sieht.Zu jeder Einstellung gibts auch noch nen Tooltip. Sollte Interesse hier in der Community bestehen würde ich mich nochmal hinsetzen und davon eine Standalone Version bauen, und die der Community zur Verfügung stellen. Anbei noch ein paar Bilder vom rig und dem Programm.

It also includes a DIY aluminum rig, a DIY button box, a steering wheel with a DIY wheel hub featuring 8 buttons and 4 encoders. Keyboard mount and mouse pad. The pedals are SimJack with a 200 kg load cell. After using the base for about a year, I wanted to replace the previously used ffBeast software because it lacked automatic game profile detection; and since there wasn’t anything suitable available, I just built my own software. Once I was done, I had the idea to incorporate a PLR configurator as well. With the configurator, all FFB settings can be adjusted via a graphical user interface. Additionally, every time the program starts, a backup file named “plr.bak” is created that always contains the settings prior to any changes, so that if something goes wrong, you can always restore the unmodified PLR. We also use the .bak file for an interesting feature. After a PLR file is loaded and values are changed, that setting is highlighted in color, and the previously set value is saved in the BAK file. The advantage of this is that if you change multiple values at once, go for a test drive, and realize it doesn’t quite work after all, you can reload the PLR file to see all the changed values highlighted in color and still see the values from before the change in the “Previous” field. There’s also a tooltip for each setting. If there’s interest here in the community, I’d be happy to sit down and build a standalone version of this and make it available to the community. Moin Staui,
dein Tool zum Einstellen der FFB-Werte und Sichern der *.plr ist echt cool und spart auch eine Menge Zeit gegenüber der 'normalen' Methode.

Wenn du das Tool als Standalone Version hinbekommst, werde ich es gerne benutzen. <doppeldaumenhoch>

Auch nach 18 Jahren fummele ich immer wieder an den FFB-Werten herum

Eine Frage habe ich zur BAK. Ist es immer die letzte PLR vor der Änderung oder sogar mehrstufig?

Und meine letzte Frage: Funzt das Tool ggfs. auch mit einer GTR2 *.plr, die identisch bei den FFB-Werten, aber insgesamt etwas anders im Aufbau ist?

die bak ist immer die Datei vor der Änderung.
Standalone ist fertig, halt nur auf englisch bisher. Ich bräuchte eine Muster plr, dann kann man das relativ gut anpassen. Wenn die Bezeichnugen für die Namen wirklich genau identisch sind und der Zeilenaufbau auch, dann können wir das auch ohne Änderungen auslesen und ändern.
Es ist egal wie die plr aufgebaut ist, ob der ffb Block oben oder unten steht, ob die Zeilen beieinander sind oder an völlig verschiedenen Stellen, wir lesen immer die komplette plr.

das ging aber schnell mit der Standalone Version. Englisch ist völlig iO für mich.

Der FFB-Block ist komplett identisch - ich teste immer mit GTL und kopiere, wenn es mir gefällt, in die PLR von Power and Glory und neuerdings auch Kölschbierbude.
Eine Muster-PLR ist m.E. nicht notwendig. Ich teste das mal.

dann sollte es funktionieren.
Ja hatte es von Anfang an so geplant das ich es einfach aus meiner Steuerungssoftware in eine Standalone extrahieren kann, darum ging das gestern Abend noch relativ schnell. Ausprobiert habe ich es auf Win10 und 11. Es muss halt auf alle Fälle ein 64 bit System sein, aber das sollte ja eigentlich jeder mittlerweile haben.
Ich habe da schon noch ein paar Ideen für weitere Funktionen, aber erst mal sehen wie es sich bewährt.

the settings in the picture are only settings after i messed arount with the app, for testing reasons. the settings you need depend highly on the type of wheel you use. I still work on the app, and there will be a funktion to choose from 4 presets, dd drive high torque, dd drive low to medium torque, belt driven base , and gear driven wheels like cheap logitech. So you can choose one of this options and then you also can activate for which part of ffb options you will use this presets. This should work for a plr to start with, all other settings can be changed in the slider below if you wish so. I think i will be ready until end of the week, also with the translation so the user can switch between german and englisch. Only for the buttons and tooltips, the ffb names will always remain englisch because this is the language of the plr. As soon as everything is ready i let you all know. The last feature is only experimental for now, because i dont own all of the mentioned bases to testdrive all the settings. That is more a logical approach for now, and will need some adjustments after people test drive the settings and are willing to share their thoughts with me.
