Hi!! I was asking myself how many drivers in Altbierbude plays with or without auomatic clutch.

I really loose a lot of secs wit manual clutch, is really posible get the same times with autoclucth or with manual clutch?

I play with manuel clutch, because I'm faster at the start and while driving rear-engine-cars, I have less problems, breaking into the corners.

I think you can drive the same times with both, automatic or manuel clutch. Some driver don't have a third pedal, even some haven't got a wheel and are playing with a x-box or playstation controller, so they have to play with automatic clutch. (Some of them are much faster than me)

Plus some people play without clutch, and they are faster because of it. So,it depends do you wanna play a simulation,or do you wanna go faster no matter what. i dont have a 3rd pedal,so i am forced to drive with auto clutch. but be sure,i am hoping to get wheel with 3 pedals,plus H shifter,and you can bet on it,i will use both

I'm not using any automatics with GTL.
I think, I'm faster with manual clutching ... and I know for sure, I'm faster with manual shifting.

yes derolf,but i have only 2 pedals. i never used automatic gearbox,or driving help offline,but without 3rd pedal,i am forced to use auto-clutch. i can assign clutch to any digital button on the wheel,but that would be like assignig throttle to a digital button... full-throttle or no throttle,and nothing in the middle. have tried driving without clutch,much faster start,faster acceleration on straights,but on braking,have to use either manual clutch ,or combine throttle with braking,small blip,not to loose rear end. and that cost stability under braking. possible with practice,but impossible without changing driving style,which i do not intend to do. besides,engine sounds strange and unnatural without clutch during shifts,and i dont like that,no matter that without clutch,you can take down,anywhere between half and 1 and a half second a lap. on longer circuits like schleife,machwerk,even more.

Since I've been driving with Gamepads for years, I know what you mean. Digital clutching is a no go ...

for me,joypads too are no go . was driving with one,only because i had no wheel. long story. anyway,joypad is cool for gran turismo,and similar games. for GTL,GTR2,wheel is a neccecity. not talking about lap times,its possible to be faster with a joypad,but i dont see the fun in that. Real fun,is possible only with a wheel for me
