VW Golf MK1 gr1 & gr2
Like its predecessor the Volkswagen Beetle, the Volkswagen Golf Mk1 has proven to be influential. In continuous production since 1974, the Golf was one of the first widely successful front-wheel drive hatchbacks. The first Golf (VW internal designation Typ 17) began production in 1974, although it was marketed in the United States and Canada from 1975 to 1984 as the Volkswagen Rabbit and in Mexico as the Volkswagen Caribe. In 1975 a sports-oriented variant of the Volkswagen Golf, called the Golf GTI was introduced in March of that year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
After its move in 1973 to Hanover, the Volkswagen Motorsport department specialised in a new field. With the first generation VW Golf, the sports department took over the development of rally cars. At home and abroad, the Golf GTI in the hands of drivers such as Per Eklund and Pentti Airikkala took the world by storm. On its 20th anniversary in 1986, Sweden’s Kenneth Eriksson won Volkswagen Motorsport the title of group A world rally champions.
The mod comes with three physics packages : gr1 (VW_GOLF.hdc), gr2 4speed (VW_GOLF_GR2_4.hdc), gr2 5speed (VW_GOLF_GR2_5.hdc)
The mod is linked to GTC-TC-76 class and the Porsche 914.

BMW CSL 3.0 gr2
The BMW 3.0 CSL (BMW 3.0 Coupe Sport Leichtbau) is a homologation model designed for Group 2 and Group 5. It entered production in 1972 and was ceased in 1975. Due to its appearance the car is often referred as the 'Batmobile'. The rear spoiler was included with the purchase of the car but it was not installed during production as it at was illegal for use on German motorways.
The CSL was a success in motorsport particularly in the European Touring Car Championship during the 1970's. With the change of Group 2 in 1976, these cars were more or less back to 1973 specifications but with a wet-sump oil system and a 4-speed gearbox. Being the only professional outfit, the Belgian Luigi team took the championship in 1976, followed by more titles with different teams in 1977, 1978 and 1979 after which homologation ran. Even in Group 1 trim the car had success: a front row position at Spa 1977 for instance. Ten years of competitive history for a single model; that must be some sort of a record. It is also the first and second BMW commissioned "Art Car." BMW commissioned the car the first car to be created by Alexander Calder and the second was created by Frank Stella.
The mod comes with two physics packages : a 1976 and a 1977(and on) one
The mod is linked to GTC-TC-76 class and the BMW CSL.

Alfa Romeo GTAm
The Alfa Romeo GTAm is a car that stirs emotions, especially with diehard Alfa fans. In a 100 year celebratory poll – it was voted the best Alfa ever. What is interesting is that the GTAm is not an official car with an Alfa Romeo model TIPO number, but effectively an option package for the 1750GTV (American Spec) 105.51.XXXXXX which leads many to refer to the Am as America – while others say A (lightened) m (enlarged). Later Euro spec 105 GTVs 105.44.XXXXXX cars were also converted. For the record, I am not entering into the debate on the meaning of GTAm.
The general understanding is up to 15 Autodelta cars were built and a number of private cars totalling about 40 from 1969-197X. Weights vary upon the year raced (<980) and up to 240HP was obtained from the 1985-1999cc engine (based on the 1750 but with monosleeve). This mod is based a combination of specs – but is a good match for the RS2600 Ford Capri (early model) in GTL.
As modders, it is with some trepidation that we tackle this project – a lot of people have opinions on this car – but here it is.
gravin
At this point we would like to thank the follow people who contribiuted to this project:
papag21 – whose tremendous effort has resulted in the 3D model and its numerous variations. He complete numerous revisions and put in a massive effort which allowed the group of people mentioned below to complete the GTAm. Also made icons, biks, suits+helmets and skins.
greg7 – has been extremely helpful. Not only did he make the firestone tyre files for the GTAm, he also did extensive testing and gave feedback on the physics sent to him. Without his help I would have been lost. I really trust his judgement after many hours driving his BMW 2800CS – a truely great mod.
Crocko 05 – Who completed the original physics (HDC, sp, eng, grb, car etc) based on Muscle Car Masters GTAm and were initially used and refined with his permission to complete this mod.
Crocko 05 and metalgear – who allowed the use of their Alfa Romeo GTAjr (junior) physics to be used – the sp model in the GTAm mod is an edited version of the GTAj ‘s. The GTAj is a mod I have always enjoyed driving lots.
dbstreet – who completed cockpit style1,3 and numerous skins used during the development of the mod.
TICTOC – some early skins, texturing and ideas
BigRon – who gave permission for his wheels to be used, and although they have not been included – they were used in the development of this mod
Nappe1 – who supplied information and confirm other information when needed.
fisheracing – who has made the backfire, found showroom problem solution
Kiwisteve – who has worked hard on improving templates, textures, bodylines and much more. Quite a few skins too.
Whoops – skins
gravin – final physics editing (sp, HDC, eng and grb) and testing
DucFreak – who published an amazing soundpack for the GTL Alfa GTA and is used for the GTAm and GTA junior.
Drat - for pointing the "floating car" issue
