Hi all,

I love this site, the great job people are doing behind the scenes and the passion of fellow drivers.

Unfortunately one thing that no one can change is our time difference.
When everyone is qualifying here at the Bude, it is about 5:00 am Sydney Aus time.

I'm wondering if it's possible for an Aussie driver to practice/race with people of similar timeframe.
Is that allowable?
How would that be viewed by the administrators?

Please PM me if there are no site illegalities and you are interested.

Regards
Leemons

Hello Leemons
We are an international community.
You are welcome to use our servers at any time.
The same applies to the TeamSpeak server, should you need it.

If you and your friends are interested in participating in the races we offer twice a week, there is a solution for that as well.

These races usually take place on Thursdays and Sundays between 8:00 p.m. CET and 10:00 p.m. CET.
If we don't switch the servers after the race but only the following day, you would have the opportunity to drive a Thursday event on Friday.

To stick with the Thursday example:
We race on Thursday until 10:00 p.m. CET. In Australia, it would already be a new day (Friday) at 8:00 a.m. at that time.
If we don't reset the server after the race, but only the next day (Friday) at around 2:00 p.m. CET, it would already be midnight on Friday in Australia at that time.
That would give you enough time on Friday evening until around 11:00 p.m. Australian time to drive the same race.

If you give us the feedback “Yes, good idea, we'd like that,” then I would have to discuss this possibility with the other admins first.

Best regards, Bordi

Hi Bordi,

Thanks for the reply.

I am not sure I understand your proposal.

Going back to your Thursday night scenario:

If the servers are not reset and I raced on the Friday evening, what would happen?

Would I be the only person on the track if no other drivers are of similar timezones?
or
Would I be racing against the race you ran on the Thursday night? (Like I was driving single player against AI)

Thanks in advance,
Leemons

No, game has no "ghost" from previous replay/race. The only thing you cloud do is:

1- challenge the best times you see in the "info" on each server here in the website (f.e. https://www.altbierbude.de/component/ option,com_gtlreporter/Itemid,814/lang,en/ )

2- Do race at your own and compare to the results of the race done (wich results can be seen in the left side of the website: Events 2025 https://www.altbierbude.de/content/view/862/1149/ lang,en/ Clicking on the number you see next to the poster of the event).

3- setting the alarm clock veeery early. Best option

4- inviting more people from Oceania/Asia to participate in an event at your time zone, wich I guess is difficult.

The server would be freely available with the same settings.
Anyone who feels like participating in this event during this time will have the opportunity to use the server.
We cannot hire any KI.
So if you are the only driver on the server, you would be driving alone.
It would be nice if, as byAGM wrote, you could find a few like-minded people in your time zone to race with other drivers.
However, if you want to race with us, your only option is to accept the time difference and sit in front of your PC at 6:00 a.m.

Best regrads, Bordi

Hi Bordi & byagm.

Thanks for your replies.

I will continue the search for more drivers but

as you say the best option would be an alarm clock.

Meanwhile I will keep practicing.

Happy driving to all!
