I bought another computer, so i have a question, Wha t can i do to install all tracks and cars and other stuff with out download all over again?

Another question, Does the game run on Windows Vista?

Hi Bug m8y,

Everything you need is in the GTL folder so you can simply cut & paste that folder over to your new hard drive and when finished make a shortcut to the game so you can start it.

I believe it runs on Vista but put a forum search in for 'Vista' and the threads shown are in German and too many for me too try and bother translating.

Thanks for the help, but i was reading the documentation of the autoupdater and i found that he has a reinstallation function, could this option be what i need, or is your suggestion better?

That Auto installer has lots of good surprises and I did not know about that one but either way you will just be copying files from one computer to another.

Do what you feel suits you best I think is the answer.

Whatever you do ...do it right and good luck with your new machine. If it has a better graphics capability you will notice the difference all round.

Hi Gee,

I just thought "let´s open the information" and start reading, it was a good suprise to find the capabilities of the program, anyway i will try your way first on the weekend and then post it the progress.

About the machine it´s like passing from a mini to a ferrari. 9600pro was the graphics card and now is 8800GTS, now i play the game at the maximum and is awesome. Very nice investment.

The updater works, and btw you should get a clean installation this way. Simply keep the archive folders of the updater (the .zip-archives of tracks, cars, etc.). Install GTL, put the official GTL-patch on, install the auto-updater and simply direct it to those kept archive-folders. So no further download of all the stuff is needed, it simply installs all the Altbierbuden-stuff from the archive without any action from user.

Finally a copy of "GameData/users/[driver]" put back in the fresh installation will save your personal driver-profile, configurations, setups,...
