My computer does not save the races when I race online. It does save my hotlap. Is there a setting to change to get these. Currently I have to download the races from the VCR Archive.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

MMh, please look at the point "Replays" in GTL. I remeber that you could choose if you want to save hotlap and/or the whole session.
