I'm working on two cars. I want to achieve a beaten, dusty, dirty look. The BMW is 99% ready, some fine-tuning is left. The Capri may get a more faded, darker color, and some decals.

Before I forget: for the CSL I used the body-style without the front spoiler from the No.77 CSL made by T.S.C.Plage.

We need some Junkyard tracks to race these crusty rusty hulks on.

If the Bude are not able to put a special race on once they are finished and hopefully released on the Bude I could always have a Destruction Derby Night on my Tuesday's Sloppy Sprint Race server for Add On Cars.

Get to work painters and create some more of these scabby Capri's and Beamers because I think a night of mayhem will happen somehow!

Hi RedRiot,

the cars look great. I especially like the Capri, it really looks impressive on the screens. The CSL is also nice but I dislike the "Skull & Bones" on the hood.

I've also done something like this but it's more a "buildup" than a "rotten" style...click.

No problem with using the stripped frontbumper on the CSL.

Btw, don't forget to put a number on them if you want to have them on the "Bude" some day.

Sorry, but I like skulls! And chains, and swords, and barbed wires, and flames, hahaha! I listened to a record last weekend, by Canadian metal band "3 Inches Of Blood", their music gave me the starting kick to do this job So I'll put some skulls and other heavy metal stuff on the cars. Not too many, and not to every cars of course. I'll do some "clean" ones...

Seeing the warm response I'm planning to make other cars too.

Thanks Gee! This Escort is part of a Series which I call Streetracing-Cup. Actually it are 14 cars but I'm planing to have at least 28 (GTC-TC-76) together someday. Lets see what we can do if they're ready.

The Capri is close to finish. I paled the base color and added some "noise" effect to the dust 'n'dirt layer. It makes the dirt more realistic from close up.

OK. I havent edited wheels and drivers until now, and without template the interior is difficult, but I'll try to do something. Those shiny alloys really look strange on the rotting cars.

I've a tutorial on my homepage about creating "standalone" wheels. Unfortunately it's in German and I won't find the time to translate it.

You can find textures for drivers in the "talents.gtl" folder.

?:\10tacle Studios\GTL\GameData\Teams\talent.gtl

There should also be some "blank" textures which you can use to create your own driverskins.
You can see how to implement a driver, if you download one of my cars for example. Note the "drivername.rcd" file, the two driver-textures and the entries in the "CAR" file.

I create the interior(color) in two ways.
The easiest way is a "colorize" tool. Most graficprogramms have such a tool integrated which you can use to easily fit the color.
The second way is to use a background with the color you like put the real cockpittextures above it and use the "transparency" tool.
Note that normally the interior-parts of the outsideview are located in the "BODY1" texture and the insideview in the "CPIT" textures.
