Are their any rules or guidelines when 2 cars are side by side and you cannot see each other and they hit and somebody crashes? Hitting from the rear can almost always be avoided but passing most often occurs on the inside of a turn when I cannot see if the pass was completed or if the other car is still there. The inside car will hit the outside car and the outside car will go spinning off the track. I have not seen one driver stop in this circumstance. Drivers also do not stop during practice and qualifying which I guess makes since because there is no race to win. If I don't feel a bump in the steering wheel I don't stop. Sometime I can't tell if the driver spins out because of me or they were going too fast. I watch the replays to see and sometimes it was my fault.

                      Hi michael,

                      gentleman driving is the key.

There is nothing to win on the Bude but fun !

Waiting and typing ''sorry'' after making a mistake which affected another driver - that goes without saying. No matter if it's during training, qualifying or race. And if I'm not sure about my driving style, I would ask the other driver after the race and apologize if necessary.

Communication will solve the problem, not watching replays. But even after leaving the server there is a way to apologize - write a private message (located at the login form). It's very easy to show good manners.

                      Cheers,
                      Ufo

Yes, being a gentleman gives you respect from other drivers!

But now to the actual question:

                      1) I would say that if you go to curve side by side and you can keep your inside line you are not guilty if your cars collide - just go on!

                      2) If you can't keep your inside line but go more or less "straight" instead then you are guilty, should give an apology and wait for the other driver to go ahead of you.

                      Cheers,
                      Timo

And if you're unsure, wether the pass is complete or not... leave enough space for the other car to survive on the outside.

Yup, my gentleman friends are right in what they say.

                      I would like to add:
Whoever enters the corner first in this situtation should really have the rights but as the guys say ...there's no prize for winning.

Biulding respect with your fellow drivers on the Bude is the greatest and most important thing this server has to offer. So much fun can be had when you race side by side and nose to tail with others who you can get to know and trust.

The Rookie Club tonight (Monday), Wednesday's Sloppy Fun Races and Saturday's Midnight Racers provide great fun racing where we wait for each other so we can drive close ...The old Bude style of friendly and gentleman driving which made this server such a great success.

How do you find a drivers email so a private message can be sent after a race?

                      HI,

You cannot send a PM (Private Mail) to all drivers on the Bude ...only to those who have registered and become members of the Bude.

To send a member a PM:
HomePage/Left Column/User Menu/Messages/Address Book/choose the member from the list on right column/save to Address Booklist on next column/now choose Write Message.

Not all drivers have the same name when in the GTL Lobby as they have on the Bude and this can make it difficult to trace them. The easiest way is to look on the Bude Home Page and see Who's Online then click on a name and it brings up both the GTL User name and their GTL Lobby name and take it from there. The only problem with this is it also only shows members and you need to do it while they are still on line.

So sorry there was not a short answer to that ...fingers are tired now ...

                      Cheers,

                      Gee-Deeman
