Kann zwar keine Autos bauen, aber so´n Plakat - so watt hab ich gelernt.

Wär doch sonst irgendwie blöd, wenn man im Teamspeak auf zwei verschiedenen Server fahren müsste und so nicht über das gleiche Rennen quatschen könnte, oder?

Hab mich wirklich drauf gefreut und im Training mal beide ausprobiert. Und aufs Hundertstel gleiche Zeiten damit eingefahren ...

Leider gabs im Rennen derbe Lags, so daß ich mich in der zweiten Runde über einen plötzlich stehenden Timo ins Nirwana überschlagen habe, obwohl wir gerade bei hoher Geschwindigkeit auf offener Strecke Rad an Rad gekämpft hatten. So wie er weitergefahren ist, hat er wahrscheinlich nicht einmal bemerkt, was für einen Raketenstart ich hinter ihm hingelegt habe ! Seltsame Sache das ...

Um die Bandbreite zu erhöhen, habe ich das Rennen verlassen - ausgerechnet ich, wo ich mich gestern auf der blauen Bude genau über das aufgeregt habe . Aber es geschah in guter Absicht .

Das war echt ne klasse Nummer....

Speziell, das in den letzten Runden noch ein 3. Stop fällig wurde und diejenigen, die auf Risiko gesetzt haben der Sprit ausgegangen ist....

Das hat echt Spass gemacht!

Also ich fand das als Premiere für mich echt subber lustich, obwohl ich nach der Hälfte nur noch TV geguckt habe. Muss halt noch was auf die Weide, besonders, wenn ich mir die Zeiten anschaue, die da z.T. gefahren werden.
Gerne wieder! Vielen Dank noch mal an die Leute im TS, die mir am Anfang wegen Dateileichen und Endlosschleifen in GTL mit ihren Tipps in den Server geholfen haben.

geile Strecke und geile Autos. War Super!!!

Nur die Lags waren nervig.
Einmal war Daishi vor mir. Miteinmal war er verschwunden. Dann mache es peng. Kollision, aber meine Auto hat nicht mal gewackelt. Habe nur gesehen, dass Daishi sonst wo hingeflogen ist. Ich war aber unschuldig.

Ich musste mehrmals stehenden Fahrzeugen ausweichen. Standen aber nicht wirklich. Waren wieder Lags.

I feel sorry what happened to you on the 2nd lap driving behind me when due to the lag you experienced I seemed suddenly to "stand still" and give you a launch to the sky. I really didn't feel any touch but suddenly you vanished and saw you flying high on the sky through my rear mirror. That was a good fly, I say!

I didn't experience such during the game but several times cars in front of me vanished for a half second or so and had only to imagine where they were at that moment.

Also I want to apologize those two drivers who were preparing to overlap me at lap 10 or so at the short straigth after "needle eye" curve. I wanted to give them clear way to pass me from the right to get good racing line to curve after the straight. So I took the straight as left I could and raised the gas pedal a bit, but for some misunderstanding perharps those two drivers took the left side as well and had to brake heavily, probably hit each other a bit (and me too softly) , lost control and hit the wall on the left probably damaging their cars so bad that there was no use to continue the race. I haven't watched the replay yet, so I don't know who you two were, but my humble apologies to both of you. I promise to add buttons to send messages "Pass left " before next event, so that this kind of unnecessary accident can be avoided in future.

This was my second event to take part. The first was Mondello National with Abarths a week ago. Then I ran out of fuel on lap 31 though filled for 33 laps. So I was really surprised yesterday being able to drive 21 laps with BMW while the estimate was 15 laps. Unfortenately I "earned" a stop and go for speeding at pit lane and had to visit there twice. I think I entered the pit lane with just a little bit too high speed although pitting itself was controlled by AI.

I managed 9th overall and was quite satisfied with my drive. Had many nice battles with some of you - some of them I won, some lost. That's racing as it's best!

Many thanks to all of you fellow drivers! It's been a real pleasure to race with you for these couple of weeks I've done so far.

server 4

it was a laugh, once i managed to get onto an event server, this has been a problem and i've no idea why as it only happens when an "alt" server is running an event, but my computer just locks-up or crashes and even got a BSOD last night, it did the same thing with the figure 8 servers on thursday but is fine the rest of the time. anyway.

qualified on a full tank of fuel in the BMW, drove the BMW as it was a safer bet then the Escort over 40 laps, David,Flowray and vVv did sub 152's to take the first 3 places on the grid.

race: got a good-ish start and had a lot of great racing, held off till lap 20 to re-fuel NO TYRES and was hoping that the people that had pitted early would need 2 stops for fuel, on the final laps saw vVv closing in to lap me, so i pushed a bit so i wouldn't get lapped and then on the last lap i passed 4 cars that had ran out of fuel

also Timo are you using a USB modem or Wireless Network or Share a Connection as you warp a bit normally and you ping goes from 90-ish ms to a much higher number, your only static from my prospective for a few 100 metres

Hi Gogs (and all you others as well),

you said that I'm normally warping a bit when racing. I've had some problems with my ISP (Elisa Finland) during last couple of weeks. I have a cable modem connection (3M in/600k out, in-house 802.11g 54M wireless not shared with other people or machines). My connection seemed to lose packets. I tested pinging with default 32 bytes and maximum 1472 bytes. Especially larger packets went often the to the heaven of bits. I made a reclamation and after day or two they sent message to my mobile stating they had fixed the problem. Hell they had! Made a new reclamation and after some days my connection seemed to have cured. It took a week for my ISP to finally confirm me they had fixed the problem. Since then my connection has seemed to work well. I get almost nominal speed when downloading stuff. Pinging www.altbierbude.de gives me times like 40-50 ms. Pinging my ISP's servers gives times around 10-20 ms. I have also tried direct CAT6 cable between cable modem and computer but this has no effect to ping times, so wireless network in-house doesn't seem to cause any delay. On lobby I choose connection type DSL/Cable. Is that correct or should I choose ISDN or LAN? If I choose differently, how does it affect my or other players game experience? What is the purpose of speed announced for individual game server? At least most of your game servers has this set to LAN. My offline game runs well with reduced settings (Have P4 2.8 HT, 1.5G, AGP X1600 512M). If any of you have any good hints for my connection or settings to make our shared on-line game experience more pleasent for everybody, please post them here.

Wollte mich nochmal bei hilde entschuldigen weil ich ihn rausgeschupst habe!!!
ich konnte da aber auch nichts machen !!!

nps fireblade, hat ja am ende noch alles hingehauen

war zunaechst aber sicher, dass ich p3 max haette halten koennen. naja ein wenig sprit sparen da, ein richtige attacke dort. schwups auf p2, und mit dem ersten stottern des motors ueber die ziellinie.

(besonders nice war das zusammenfuehren von 2 gleich schnellen autos... weiter so)

Muss sagen, dass das gestern echt wieder ein prima Rennen war. Irgendwann ist dann aber meine Kiste abgefackelt.
Hab jetzt das technische Versagen von "normal" auf "angepasst" zurückgeschraubt.
Vielleicht hilft das ja.

Das war ein Rennen! Mein BMW ist mit einem Tankstopp ausgekommen, sodaß ich in der LETZTEN Runde noch Fireblade (stand leer auf der Strecke) und Papa Smokingjoe (stand in der Box)hinter mir lassen konnte und aufs Podium gespült wurde. So muß dat sein!
