yesterday I resume the steering wheel in subject, after a lot of months of inactivity and surprise :
the PC does not see it among the gaming peripherals.

I changed the USB cable: nothing
I changed the USB port: nothing
I installed the drivers on another PC: nothing
I tried it with PS2: nothing

When it is turned on it correctly reads the rotating resolver and goes to the center ready with the three LEDs lit;
activating the mode for updating the firmware there is communication with the PC.

Does anyone have advice?
Does Fanatec assistance consist only in sending him back to Germany?

that's an interesting problem.

I checked the internet a bit about your wheel an found out that your Fanatec Forza Motorsport CSR Wheel EU is compatible to xbox, PC and PS2.

So can it by any chance be, that you're wheel is in xbox-Mode? And you only have to switch it to the PC-mode to make it work at you're PC or into PS2-mode to make it work on a PS2?

The manual of your wheel gives the following instructions for connecting the wheel to a PC:

After self calibration press the Back Button and hold it for one second. "- - -" will disappear on the display.
5. PC and CSR are connected.

The strange thing is that now every time I turn on the wheel I have to select the PC mode, I don't remember that I used to do it before.
