general information
Since the Altbierbude was founded, a number of our drivers have passed away. Many of them were not only "users" of the Altbierbude.
There is a silent introductory lap for this.
We want to use this introductory round to commemorate the event and participants are asked to behave accordingly.
As our deceased members would certainly not have wanted us to pursue our shared hobby with depressive grief, there is a flying start after the memorial lap.

The server start
The server will be started at 8pm CET with a 60 minute Qualifying.
A Pace Car will be on track during this time, however no rules regarding the Pace Car are in effect during Qualifying.

The first lap
At the race start we stay still on the grid when the green lights come on.
It will not start.
There will be a ">>> No starting <<<" reminder in chat.
Once the green lights are on the Pace Car will move to the front of the field. (Just like in the 8h ETCC team event)
Once the Pace Car has passed all waiting participants, the Pace Car will turn on its lights and give the signal to follow through ">>> Come on <<<" in chat.
Now all participants follow the Pace Car in their Qualifying order.
Overtaking is not permitted.
The Pace Car will drive at reasonable speed.
As we want to use this formation lap for remembrance we ask the participants to act accordingly.
Prior to the start/finish line the rolling start will be initiated.

The start
Usually the rolling start will take place prior to the pit entry (*).
The race start coming up shortly will be announced through the Pace Car turning its lights off and ">>> Attention <<<" in the chat.
As soon as the Pace Car pulls into the pits (*) the race is underway for all participants and overtaking is allowed.
This will also be signalled by the Pace Car flashing its lights and
a ">>> Start NOW <<<" message in the chat.
(*) This is track-dependant. Further information will be available in the forum.
The organisation wishes you a lot of fun, good fights and much success.

Information surrounding the Pace Car
The Pace Car driver is reserved the right to - apart from the formation lap - take part in the race himself or do some laps every now and then.
However the Pace Car itself will not pass any cars.
Instead the white flag is in effect in proximity to the Pace Car.
This means extra care is necessary, though overtaking is still allowed.
In case the Pace Car comes across an accident during the race, it will secure the accident site..
This will be announced in chat through ">>> YELLOW <<<" or through
">>> DOUBLE YELLOW <<<" in critical situations.
Except for taking a safe approach without overtaking through the scene of the accident no further action is required by the drivers.
The accident having cleared will be announced through ">>> GREEN <<<" in chat and in proximity to the Pace Car the above mentioned white flag is automatically in effect again.

- Be ready to brake
- There is an obstacle on or directly next to the track
The double yellow flag (">>> DOUBLE YELLOW <<<"):
- No overtaking
- Be prepared to stop
- here is an obstacle on the route that poses a great danger
The green flag (">>> GREEN <<<"):
- The danger zone has been removed
- All yellow flag restrictions are lifted
The white flag:
- There is a significantly slower vehicle on the track
- Increased mindfulness and consideration when overtaking
