I've not been playing GTL online for a long time (2 weeks), and I've been experiencing weird behaviors from the beginning.

First, the connection to one of the altbierbude servers seems random: sometimes i get connected in less than a second, sometimes i need to try several times before i'm able to connect.

And that's only the tip of the iceberg: once i'm connected, i sometimes seem to not be synchronised with the server: ie I connect onto a session during qualifying, and once i'm connected, i'm in practice session, with 20 minutes left.

Even weirder, sometimes i'm desynchronised during session changes: at the end of practise, i get the next session message, have a few secondes of loading, and then i'm in practise again, with two hours remaining.
If I disconnect and reconnect, it's all good i'm in the qualification session.

Between practise and qualif it's not a big issue, but it happens between qualif and race too.

Every time i have this issue, other players cars are not displayed, and if I select a cars that is supposed to be on the track, the camera if frozen, as if i didn't receive position data.

I've tried rebooting my modem, my computer. It doesn't seem to have any effect. Thing is, when it works, it works perfectly. No disconnection during a race, no lag/ping issue.
(yesterday evening for example, i did three events and had the issue only once)

I'm quite puzzled, does anybody here experienced this before ?

something similar - the result was it works online under windows XP, under windows 7 64bit it works only sometimes. Yesterday I tried under win7 online, not to drive - I only was looking if it works, and it seems to work. I try today again even to drive under win7.

I forgot to mention: i have windows xp SP3.

I still have the same issue.

I have been able to join only 1 session yesterday, and we were only two on track.

It seems the more drivers there are, the worse it is: there was a session with 15-20 drivers, i could not connect and be synchronized.

I seem to have solved my problem: it was apparently a routing problem.

I changed the rules of my gateway firewall to always allow trafic to be redirected to my computer on GTL ports.
When connecting as a client, I assumed UPnP would have worked, but it doesn't seem so.

If that was really the problem, i wonder how it ever worked.
