I jointed Altbierbude for a few days and I don't really understand how to choose the good car for the race;
so, yesterday evening, I logged on server # 1 (Oulton qualif) with a corvette 76; I chose this car in accordance with your "currently available vehicles" list specified on Gameserver#1 info; I did a lap of qualif but when the course session began, I was alone on the starting line. WHY ???

Does not this car allowed for this race ?? or,
Was it a special event ??

Hi,

there are two different things I want to mention:

1) If you're on the server and don't see anybody else, press "+" and "-" on the numpad and you will see the others again! You will jump into the car in front of you and back into your own car again. It's a known bug, which occurs from time to time...

2) It seems that you don't have patched your game, as I saw you getting the .gdb-mismatch... Please have a look beneath the roadworks-sign on the mainpage on how to update your game to the no-cd-version. Otherwise you will not see the correct list of cars available on the servers. After you installed the patch, it is necessary to run the autoupdater once again, to get the new car-classes from the ALtbierbude.

If you're playing elsewhere except on the Bude, it's a good idea to make a seperate installation of GTL. One for the Bude and another for other mods / original game.

Second point : I had seen this information but I thought it was about Windows 7 (I have XP); I love GT Legend but I don't agree to install this patch anyway.

I think everyone here on the site has had troubles with this bug - starting a race thinking the track is free and wondering about the complaints afterwards...

The no-cd-patch is legal, as you still need your keys from the original DVD *and* in Germany, there was a version within a computer-magazine (unfortunately no longer available), which was free of Starforce-Protection and had no encrypted files, so the Altbierbude could define some new car classes, which was necessary to integrate the addon-cars better into the game... maybe you should rethink your reservation about the patch? The great majority of the users have installed it and it caused no problems - but remember to run the autoupdater afterwards to install the new car-classes...

here's what I did :
1)installation patch,
2)runing autoupdater ==> no new files,
3)launching GTL from desktop GTL icon (without DVD) ==> very long to load but OK,
4)selection altbierbude 1 (gamename),
5)selection rular button ==> a list of cars is displayed (which is not correct),
6)selection altbierbude 2 ou 3,
7)selection rular button ==> the same list of cars is displayed ==> KO,
but perhaps, it's not the right way to see the correct list ??

Otherwise, do I need to install GTL2008 sounds fix patch whith XP ??

Hi gtmaster,

point 2) is strange, as the car-classes need to be updated... maybe "new installation" (Neuinstallation) beneath "commandos" (Kommandos) (don't know if these are the correct names in the english version) will help, or else an installation by hand - here is the link *klick*

Hope that works or anybody else has an idea...

The sound-fix is only necessary, if you encounter sound problems...

Now, I have the correct list

here's what I did :

I run autoupdater then ,
click on "commands" then "reinstallation",
Surprise : installation of many car files and at the end : altbierbudeclasse3 file !!,

But now, I have an another pb : when I do "peer to peer" then "testpors" I have the error message :
"Your autoupdater cannot be found ........"

I tried to add port 8435 (as specified in options updater) in windows firewall but it's the same.

Perhaps I had a connection problem before reinstallation because some files habe been downloaded from bude on my game.

Now, how to configure the ports (I guess, otherwise, that I will not receive more updates)

great to hear that the new classes work now!

I don't think you had a connection problem, as the autoupdater always reinstalls a few cars when you let him reinstall - but the important file was the car-classes... I have no idea, why the "standard" run hasn't found and replaced the old car-classes.

Your problem with the autoupdater-error-message means, that your autoupdater cannot be seen for other users in the P2P-network, preventing them from downloading files from you. It does not prevent you from downloading from users, whose autoupdater can be seen in the P2P-network - so you will recieve updates in the future.
To participate fully in the P2P you have to open the ports in your modem, too - but I'm no expert in these settings and having a fight about these ports with my own modem at the moment, too....

Thank you for updating your game to the new car-classes - one more racer without the ".gdb-mismatch"-error during game
