update error 16 Years, 5 Months ago  
When I attempt to update I get the error: update error [7] changed physics ('umichael' 'ktmrandy' 'ufred'.
Michael is my user name, ktmrandy is my login name, and Fred is another user on my computer that only uses the game locally.

How can I fix this?

Here is the same problem on the following link:

I tried everything except reinstaling the game,i deleted my profile,use reinstal button for updates via autoupdater,but still no fix

The updater has a small bug...

if your hosts file contains only 1 line e.g. like this (and without a "\n" new line)
127.0.0.1 localhost
then the updater will add the GTL line like this
127.0.0.1 localhost87.106.79.180 www.gtl-server.net
when it should do this...
127.0.0.1 localhost
87.106.79.180 www.gtl-server.net

You find the hosts file here C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Please use the search feture of the forum and read other threads.

It slowly gets annoying to tell the same things again and again.

I feel like I give the same answers 20 times a week

Über die Suche hab ich die Lösung auch nicht gefunden.

Not found the answer with the "Search".

I did not have a hosts file so I created one. I still get the update error.

With my experience, the hosts-fle is just for online playing and lobby connection and has nothing to do with the Autoupdater.

But it could be a fail by me,maybe it is impotant for the Autoupdater.

In short:

Don't install mods from other sites into your Altbierbude GTL installation. To fix this remove all foreign mods or reinstall the whole game.

I have some mods, but they´re a long time installed, and until now there were no problems.
Why now?
If there is no other solution, i will delete all mods.

I found a Honda powered Mini and a 302 Mustang Engine the updater did not like. When I removed these everything started working fine.
