Although it only had a relatively short life from 1958 to 1963, Formula Junior was a fantastically successful category for aspiring Grand Prix drivers. At the time, it filled the role now covered by Formula Ford, Formula Renault and Formula 3, and many Grand Prix drivers made their name in the rapid single-seater racing cars.

SILVERSTONE CLASSIC BRDC 500
One of the special races of the weekend is the annual BRDC 500, a race for pre-war sports cars in the best tradition of Brooklands events in the 1930s. Run only once a year at this event, the race is an hour-long two-driver race and always attracts a fine grid of cars ranging from the early 1920s through to the final days before the war in 1939.

SILVERSTONE CLASSIC WORLD SPORTSCAR MASTERS
Few race series can create as much of a spectacle as World Sportscar Masters, which is for Le Mans type Group 4 prototypes from the mid-60s through to the end of 1974.
