Hello all

I've been driving GTL and GTR2 for a while now (a couple of years at least) and I thoroughly enjoy them. I prefer the older cars, Lotus Cortina especially, although the Ferarri 250 is a bit special.

Anyway, I've only ever driving in offline mode except for one GTR2 online drive which had me coming dead last after getting a puncture after someone elses accident in the first corner and having to limp to the pits for a new set.

I've been a member here for a while now to get tracks, cars etc, but I'm much more interested in having an online drive and the Rookie Club seems ideal for me. I've never really understood the intricacies of setups at all. Cambers, toe in etc... I understand as I read, but putting them into practise is something else. I'm fine with gearing and fuel quantity though.

Anyway, just saying hello, and want to get an idea of what's expected to drive in bude... I know about the etiquette and downloading everything (python etc will be got tonight), but what else is needed? Teamspeak? MSM? Can I just turn up to join in any race on any server etc?

Here (at "Bude"-Servers, especially on "www.Altbierbude.de" you are on right place (we're more or less all around mid-fourties (in average!)) which like to drive cars which well known since we're teenagers!

If you have downloaded all necessary files (Autoupdater), you can feel free to participate on all available online-races.

"Teamspeak" is an option, but not necessary!

I've uninstalled GTL and reinstalled entirely. I had a good few cars and tracks already and when autoupdate started I discovered that many of my downloaded cars were being reinstalled... Serve me right for guessing some of the folder names. At least with a clean install I won't be selecting cars or circuits that others don't have.

Anyway, I'm redoing the autoupdate, but it's Pausing every download before it starts now ...

Ho hum... I'll sort it somehow, but I doubt I'll be on for a couple of days yet...
