die Addon Car Rennen könnten mehr Teilnehmer vertragen.
Was ist los?
Das Runterladen der Autos ist doch nicht so schlimm, es wird ja jeweils nur ein Typ am Abend benötigt.

Rafft euch mal auf, bringt Spaß mal was anderes zu fahren .

Man muß auch nicht zu den ganz Schnellen gehören, sonst wäre ich ja auch nicht dabei .

ich war am anfang auch immer dabei, wo der toyota corolla und der e21 gefahren wurde.
jezt ist es mir zu viel geworden, denn jetzt sind es zu viele autos, auf die ich keine lust mehr habe. außerdem hab ich von einigen gehört, dass sie probleme mit den add-on cars hatten. mir ist das zu viel durcheinander und ich will mir mein spiel nicht zerschießen.

sehe ich es richtig das kein addon cars auf der altbierbude laufen weil die bestzeiten nicht dem richtigen wagen zugeordnet werden? kann man das nicht serverseitig abstellen das die zeiten gewertet werden? flüchtig betrachtet fällt mir auf das auf server 3 bzw 4 nicht sehr viel los ist . könnte man nicht evtl auf diesen server die belibtesten addon cars fahren lassen ohne die zeiten in die wertung einfliessen zu lassen? war nur mal so eine idee. falls ich ein grundsätzliches problem der addons cars übersehen habe ,bitte mein post nicht beachten

Kann Big_Ron da nur recht geben. GeeDee macht da wirklich einen tollen Job und das Engagement ist super. Mir tut es echt leid, daß ich da mittlerweile auch nicht mehr teilnehme, nur habe ich mir durch die Mods, die nach den wirklich exzellenten Wagen wie Corolla, E21, TR4, R8 und 250SWB, erschienen sind, mehrfach mein Spiel zerschossen. Wenn man sieht, mit welcher Geschwindigkeit da neue (aber imho völlig unausgegorene) Wagen erscheinen und was man alles rumstricken muss, damit es nicht in die Hose geht, wird einem schwindelig. Man kann Gee´s Einsatz nur bewundern, daß er sich so reinhängt und versucht die Karren ans Laufen zu bringen. Aber mir ist das zu heikel. Bestes Beispiel war auch das Missverständnis mit den Minis beim letzten Zwergenschubsen, wo offensichtlich einer der neuen Minis soundmäßig und optisch unter die normalen Minis gemischt hat, so daß schon ein Cheat des betreffenden Fahrers vermutet wurde. Wer weiss was noch für Überraschungen kommen.
Wenn die Mods mal so weit sind, wie die ersten 5 Autos und man die so normal installieren kann, wie ein Buden-Addon, ohne Angst zu haben, daß man sich irgendwo was zerbröselt, bin ich mit der Erste, der Dienstags wieder mitmacht.

gut, oft hab ich auch einfach keine zeit (gestern z aber meistens ist es eher so, dass ich auf diese schlecht gemachen semi-legalen-GTR2-klau-mods, bei denen man ausser den nötigen änderungen bei den formaten keinerlei mühe gegeben hat - die dinger haben ja nichtmal biks und icons! - keine lust hab. das ist erstens nicht GTL (GTR Grip niveau?) und zweitens hab ich, wenn ich die runterlade, das gefühl das ich als user mehr arbeit in die dinger investieren muss als das der "ersteller" der mods getan hat. besonders im fall lancia beta/BMW M1, die ja anscheinend 1:1 aus Toca 3 geklaut sind (+cockpits 1:1 aus GTL).
ist ja toll wenn es mehr autos gibt und ich weiss ja wieviel arbeit das alles ist und man sachen gerne vereinfacht aber ein klein wenig mehrarbeit an den autos wäre doch echt nicht zuviel verlangt.

also wenns um die (bissher) 5 autos geht, die du schon nanntest bin ich für meinen teil gerne bei den rennen am dienstag dabei sooft ich kann. bei den anderen wünsch ich allen viel spass die fahren wollen, ich halt mich auch raus.

Firstly
Add On's causing problems is a myth. They cause as many problems as any other kind of download if installed in the wrong place or even one little bit of misplaced information can give you lots of trouble. All of the problems that I have had with Add Ons has been because of my own mistakes installing them.

What I have done now is to install GTL a second time and run the Add Ons on that copy. This is so simple to do:

1). Temporarily rename the original GTL as say GTLx.

2). Now just install the GTL game as if it was new and don't forget that all important 1.1 patch.

3). Rename this copy GTL2 and put the Add On cars onto it.

4). Rename the original game as GTL again.

5). Make a shortcut for the new GTL game and your up and running ...simple!

Add On car installing is easy.
a). Download the original Add On Mod Pack of the car you want.

b). Unzip the download if need be.

c). Make a backup copy of your Sound & GameData files just in case you do make mistakes.

d). usually the Add On car pack comes all ready to just drop into your GTL folder and this will put the sound files and cars in there correct folders ...done!

e). If you do have any problems I have found it will be with your sound files so just copy your back up copy into GTL/Sound and when asked to overwrite say yes.

Nothing hard to do, really simple and if you have problems just ask for some help!

Each Tuesday we race only one type of Add On car now so you have a long time to get the downloads that you need. Once they are downloaded you only need to keep them up to date with the odd new car released.

I know some of the cars are not as realistic as they could be, but I am only one guy and that may only be my opinion. If you want to participate then tell me what you want and do not want. I hardly get any feedback even though I ask for it so if I am running cars you do not like then let me know and in English please as using the Google translator is not very good. But please remember everyone has an opinion so sometimes I may have to run cars that you do not like.

ich habe, gezwungenermaßen, GTL, GTR2 und Rfactor jeweils auf Budenniveau.

das sind aktuell mal eben schlanke 34!!! GB auf meiner Platte. ohne archive.

auf grün haben wir donnerstag und sonntag, auf blau mittwoch und samstag und auf rot am freitag spannende und gut besuchte events.

dazu kommt montags der rookie-club auf der grünen saufhütte.

mir bleibt also genau der dienstag um meine mails zu beantworten, in den foren rumzupoltern, call of duty, airborne, fsx und ähnliches zu zocken, mal im netz zu surfen, was essen, mal kurz duschen ... und dann gibts da ja auch noch die, wie heißt sie denn nochmal, verdammt, die meine wäsche macht und in meinem bett schläft. wo steht das eigentlich mittlerweile?

...also, mein bedarf ist durchaus gedeckt. ich habe auch keine lust, nochmal 68 GB für mods freizuschaufeln, die auf den buden nicht laufen.

ich räume jedoch ein, dass diejenigen, die "nur" GTL haben, an einem nicht hinnehmbaren beschäftigungsdefizit leiden könnten.

How you Admin guys on the Bude manage to do so much as well as your full time jobs amazes me. I spend more than enough time on my little Sloppy Section and I am retired from work!

DerDumeklemmer says he only sleeps once a month ...He actually finds time! ...Amazing!

Although I wish you could make it to the Sloppy races I quite understand that at some point you need to freshen yourself up, he he It is in all our interests that you do this

You guys do a great job and I hope to see you on the track sometime for more fun racing m8.

Although I could not understand all of what you said because of the language barrier I think the fundamental statement you make about the cars is correct and I must admit that I am not a fan of some of the Add On Mod cars for the same reasons.

After some deliberation, I have decided that I will no longer support some of the Add On cars for racing and only use those that majority of us think of as cars that fit the GTL game.

I will continue to set races for the following cars for the time being until such time as I feel they need revue:

1310cc Mini Cooper S, Mini Sprint Mod, Austin Healey 100s, BMW E21 320, Ferrari 250 SWB, Renault 8 Gordini, Renault 8 Gordini TS, Toyota Corolla, Triumph TR4 & TR4a, & VW Golf GTi.

Some of those cars have not been used yet, so until they have been commented on they remain on the list but the BMW E21 320 & Toyota Corolla will certainly be kept for use as these are established favourites of mine and of most others. I will however be concentrating on smaller amounts of each car as in some cases like the 1310cc Mini Cooper S there are just far to many of them (now 59 available for download).

I hope this meets with the approval of the great majority.

hey gee,

most of us look critical to all these add on-cars released in last few month. there are too many add on-cars, i dont trust all of them and i believe they could crash my gtl game. and another reason is, that in the game, where you choose your car, most add on-cars havn´t any pictures or videos like the standard cars. and that looks horrible.

my favorites are the e21 320i and the corolla. they are professional created and the handling fits perfect in gtl.

I will be cutting down on Add Ons as I have mentioned in the previous post but please don't be put off by the thought of Add On's making your game crash as a bad installation is the key cause or sometimes sound files appear to get overwritten so look back just a few more posts an read what I have to say.

I agree that when you go to choose a car that there should be the pictures and video's of the cars and I will take this into serious consideration when cutting the choice of cars down.

Next Tuesday we are racing the Healey 100s and there are only 4 cars at the moment so a very small download and I think you will find they fit into GTL quite nicely and they are so easy to install.

I am glad that this subject is finally being discussed more freely as I really do want to know what people want and I do listen and try and act on it.

hehe, i´m glad that there is such interest for the sloppy races .
I have installed all of the add on cars (the good and the not so good ), and no problems so far, although i´m not a pc prof.
As Gordon said, you don´t have to download all of them,
try it and have fun.
