Das war ja mal gar nichts heute auf dem Sachsenring auf Server 3!! Nach etwa 20 Minuten waren nur noch ca. 6 oder 7 Fahrer im Rennen - der Rest hat durch Unfälle aller Art sein Auto geschrottet, ich ebenfals.Im Moment sind wohl noch 5 im Rennen - hehe
Naja schade - hätte nen tolles Rennen werden können!
Dann freu ich mich jetzt eben wieder auf Sonntag!

Frag uns auf Server 4 mal.
Wir haben sogar neugestartet und trotzdem wurde es nicht besser. Und das unkomischste war, dass die besten Fahrer zuerst rausgeflogen sind. Das erste mal war ich gleich in der ersten Runde B8man (Flo) hinten draufgefahren und wir beide sind in den Wald. Und vielen anderen gings genauso. Beim zweiten Start war es die zweite Runde, wo erst Plage (Martin) und B8man (Flo) aneinandergerieten und ich gleich folgte. Und wieder folgten viele andere. Zum Schluss waren nur noch vier Fahrer übrig, denen man nur für ihre Ausdauer gratulieren kann. Enttäuschung und Leid zugleich.

und ich dachte schon, ich stell mich zu blöd an !

Im Training und im Qualifying habe ich jede zweite Runde mit Schleudereinlagen vergeigt, bis ich dann schlußendlich entnervt aufgegeben und die Glotze vorgezogen habe . Habs auf die anhaltenden Nachwirkungen des Monsterevents auf der Pilsbierbude letzten Samstag geschoben - 12 Runden VLN-Nordschleife in einem R8-Geschoß waren mir eindeutig zu viel, da hab ich heute noch was von .

Aber scheinbar lags gar nicht DARAN ...

Und ich hatte mich schon auf das Äwent gefreut und konnte nich teilnehmen...

Bei mir war das komische ja, dass ich im Quali nicht die Spur von Problemen oder Fehlern hatte. Höchstens, wenn ich mal ne neue Linie probiert habe und dann aufs grün gekommen bin. Dann habe ich wieder die alte gewählt. Mein Auto war wie ein Zug auf Schienen und sehr gute Rundenzeiten hatte ich auch. Das ich im Rennen nicht mal die erste bzw. zweite Runde überlebe, wär mir im Traum nicht eingefallen. Wäre ein toller Kampf mit Flo und Martin geworden. Aber 1. kommt es schlimmer und 2. wie man denkt.

Und Respekt Ufo für nen 12 h Rennen auf der NS.

Ufo, wieviel hast du gespendet, damit dich der Franky ins Finale gelassen hat?

Zum Rennen:
Bis auf die Erkenntnis, dass halb Berlin das Heck meines Austins zum Anfassen schön fand, gibts nichts zu sagen.
Aber kein Problem, meine Freundin hat sich über meine überaschende Anwesenheit gefreut.

Gratulation an alle Durchkommer und auf bessere Rennen.

although most of us would like to totally forget event "Sachsenring 1967" driven yesterday, at least I'm willing to see the results. I don't find them anywhere yet. Should find them under Events/4FUN, right?

It was a tricky race, race cars going average 170 kmh along "public roads", quite hard to overtake anybody safely on such narrow paths, or driving just on your own a little bit over-optimistic way - one slight error and you're gone!

My race at server #3 nearly ended to a mass accident on lap 1 just before the railway bridge, but after havings some quite bad hits managed to get through and a miracle - my car was still driveable.

Filled my MB's tank for start with 100 litres just to see how far I could with that and it was a success - had only one pit stop having just 3 litres left when coming to pits from lap 11. Had only refuel and so on the last few laps my poor tyres caused me a couple of harmless spins but could finally drive through all 22 laps.

Yesterday someone asked if this track still exists. Because it mostly consists of public roads they still can be found. Take a look at these two videos:

Hey Leute Ich fand Sachsenring 1967 +
300 SL so toll, sodaß ich um einen Neustart für
alle zu früh gegangenen bitte.
Überholen geht natürlich nur wenn der Vordermann
einen Fehler macht oder zu langsam aus einer
Kurve kommt.
Bei einer Neuauflage bitte im Falle von Drehern
auf rückwärtigen Verkehr achten.

I never driven on this track up until yesterday's race. The "Sachsenring" name was familiar, but I didn't know the track: it was a big surprise, this track is great!

It's narrow a little bit, apart from that it's perfect: the town part with the tight turns and the ultra-fast bends at the end section are my favourites. IMHO the most difficult turn is the sharp left hander at the end of the long and high speed downhill part. I spinned the 300SL a couple of times there.

TJL, thanks for the great vids! I haven't seen a Formula East video until now: it could have been great experience to storm through this roads with those little one-seaters. What kind of engine was in them? I don't speak Deutsch, so I only understood that they were 150HP.

RedRiot wanted to know some extra information about Melkus ST77 single-seater which appers on the first video which link I attached for you.

Actually I'm finnish and don't understand or speak german so much. But that much I understood: it has a 1.3 litre engine giving 115 hp, it weights 450 kg and has a top speed of 260 kmh.

Thanks for the link! Interesting little car: 430kg is very light. The Lada engine - Wartburg gearbox maybe isn't the best racing car package, but for such a light weight -judging about the video- is strong enough.
