I learned something myself last night even though I have been on-line on GTL for about 9 months now, and that is if someone is on the track during practice or qualifying that because of a programming glitch they may not be able to see someone who has just joined or re-joined the game until they come into the garage. This means you can be driving around unaware that you have hit someone.

This would explain a problem that I had last night with driver Loddle when I had just re-joined the qualifying at Mosport and he took me off without saying sorry. He was so sure that he had not hit me and the way it happened it does strongly suggest that he was unaware of me on track.

So I would like to publicly apologise to Loddle for this. Sorry m8 it was not your fault!

You can change how to load other player's car who join an online session in the mutliplayer options menu:

-in box: As Gee-Dee said you have to come back to box to load the cars

-safe speed: load the players when your are driving slowly (about 20 km/h, this speed can be changed by editing the configuration file of the game). As there is a small freezing during loading (depends on your computer preformance), it helps not to crash. It permits to make the loading without coming back to pits, I use this option.

-any speed: load the cars whatever is your speed, I tried it but it's quite dangerous when there is a freezing while you are running at top speed or in a fast corner. Perhaps it works fine with a very powerfull computer.

tonite, i kicked another player off the track during qualy, because i didn't see him. (and i am also being hit like that often when joining full servers.)

this issue is indeed a problem, because it makes people believe, that the bude-rules don't matter so much.
but we solved the problem in the chatroom.

i guess, the more people know about this problem, the better - that's why i put this thread forward again - so please read the other posts in this thread.
