Hi all,

I start this thread in order to list known issues and solutions playing the game.

Get me right , i love the game and the bude, but there are annoying issues

Here i go:

- slow frame rate on some tracks and not others. On most tracks i get about 20-30 fps, then on a few of them i get 4 !!!! and i can't play them. any tip ?

- sometimes i looks like other people on trackdon't see me and hit me.

- most annoying, sometimes i can't connect to the game from the lobby. The screen freezes for 10 seconds, i hear a beep and come back to the lobby. No way to get in, but then somehow at some time all comes back to normal. A free virtual beer to anyone with a solution ...

if someone enters the game, everybody has to load the new player+car. there are 2 ways to do so. you can change it in the option-menu in the main-menu.
1) load new players while racing, which reduces the frames per seconds while loading the new player. if you got a fast computer, that's usually no problem.
2) load new player only in the garage/pits. ... that's what you describe. the other players only load in the garage, and therefore couldn't see you on track. i recommend people, who use this method (like me) should regularly go to the garage, when some new players entered the game.

It's no wonder you can be a problem on the track with frame rates like that. You are really spoiling it for others as well as yourself ...believe me.

Turn all your graphics down especially the shadows as they eat frames. and try a lower screen res. Nothing on high definition at all, no pit figures etc.

If non of the above work please get an upgrade for your computer before playing on line again ...Cheers!

PS try saying hello and goodbye when entering and leaving the game as it is polite no matter which country you come from.

I took all settings from high to Med, shadows off, and now the framerate is much better including on the problematic tracks.

Now will it be good enough for me not to crash, unfortunately i am not sure ...

Hi Pasender,

here are some .plr file tweaks. My previus PC was a very slow AMD Sempron, and these tweaks made GTL playable on it.
