So glad to be racing on the 'bude servers, gt legends is now more epic than I could ever imagine, dificult though that seems...

HOWEVER, I can't access the online setups folder when preparing for a race, it says that it's 'Checking Subscription' but then brings up a grey parent folder where the files should be and nothing happens when I click on it...?!

All help on this is GREATLY appreciated, it's no fun racing when you're actually spending most of the time wishing you had more time to set the car up properly

Hi Mez,

yesterday evening I've noticed the problem with the online setups. Since last week there is a similar problem with GTR2. There is the reason that the old lobby domain is expired because the owner 10Tacles doesnt exist anymore. SimBin has created a new lobby but there is also no access to the online setups.
I will try to sniff the problem with a network tracer. Be patient.

I found the problem. Please check if you have added the additional line in the file "hosts".
On my system the line was missing. Now I have again access to the online setups.

Location of the file:
c:\windos\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Edit the file as administrator and add at the end the line:

81.3.59.61 www.gtl-server.net

Save the file and now you should access the setup folders again.

In the Autoupdater you have the item "Lobby" in the Tweaks menu. There you have to enter only the IP address above.

Thanks so much for this fix, it's been awful racing and diving in and out the pits every 3 seconds to adjust every tiny parameter, but no more!!

Hi Mez,

do yourself a favor and learn to set up your car by yourself!

All drivers have different style of driving and the setup that suits one may be completely undrivable for another.

And when you test your setup drive at least 2 laps before deciding if the change was good or not. Often the tyres need some time to warm up and to function the way they do on long term - with cold tyres you can't test anything really.

Making your own setup is not really so difficult, at least when you start with this guide and try to learn well what it says:

After some time and trying you find the basic tricks to set up any car for any track the way YOU want it!

somebody help me please! i cant register my GTL online. have try everything... host file, have add server number 2 but no way

Hi jomardi,

if you can't register GTL for online lobby with the serial number then try to start gtl.exe as administrator.
Click on GTL icon with the right mouse button and then choose "Execute as administrator". I had the same problem with Vista. After registration you can start GTL the next time normal.

Aber: Das mit der prov. Lobby ist ja schon länger so. Das läuft auch ohne Probleme. Nur die Online Setups kann ich seit einigen tagen nicht mehr erreichen...

Schau Dir einfach mal die hosts Datei an. Ich hatte den Eintrag für GTL drin und musste dann feststellen, dass der Eintag zu dem Zeitpunkt fehlte.

Jau, so is das.

Wer die Online-Setups nicht laden kann gehe folgendermassen vor:

1. Die "hosts" Datei mit dem (Text)Editor öffnen. Ihr findet sie im Ordner WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc
(Windows XP)

2. Fügt ganz unten folgende Zeile ein:
81.3.59.61 www.gtl-server.net

3. WICHTIG: Startet den PC neu.

4. Startet GTL, die Online-Setups sollten jetzt erreichbar sein....
