There are usually 2 reasons why you cannot get on line with GTL.

1. You need to install the v1.1 patch. You can get it from here: http://www.altbierbude.de/component/ option,com_remository/Itemid,26/func,fileinfo/ id,796/lang,en/

If you have already done that and you are still having problems...

2. Check to see if it is your Firewall program that is to blame.

Hello, troubles began when I've installed GTL antideco 1.0 for GTL.
What has happened?

pls check this issue:

[...]that is the problem line in your 'hosts' file.

This is the message that I received about it:
"Pls take a look at you c:\windows\system32\drivers\etcc\host file by using wordpad.
If it still contains the line:

127.0.0.1 localhost www.gtl-server.net

Simply delete this line.
This is the redirection of the lobby to your own machine (for the script).+

Pls check by running:
"nslookup www.gtl-server.net" in a command windows (start/run/cmd) if the resolved address is 81.3.59.61 again and everything is running well ..."

As soon as I followed these instructions I was able to get back on line.

Still no connection.
Other strange thing: my credits become over 100.000.000 from about 500.000 I had 'til yesterday.
Is necessary to reinstall game?
My data would be lose?

PS. the reason that you have all the credits is because you installed the cheat that gets you all the cars and tracks plus that lovely dosh ...don't complain, just enjoy!

So I have to substitute "127.0.0.1 localhost www.gtl-server.net" with "81.3.59.61 localhost www.gtl-server.net" in the wordpad document hosts?

Or is right to put "81.3.59.61 localhost"?

But I must take a good joypad or a steering wheel, 'til now I've done in artisanal way with keyboard.
Can you indicate me something not much expensive?
At now, my keyboard is just a little potty: infact the cars remain accelerate and the turning on right or left is more difficult then was a few days ago, when the cars went regularly.
What has happened?
Too much cars and tracks on my pc?
At now I've 23.00 GB of available space on 58.80 of total.

Using a keyboard for driving GTL ...noooo you mad person ! Using a pad to drive GTL ...mmmm, better as long as your steering/braking/throttle are all analogue otherwise ...nooooo!

A wheel is always the best option and if you can't afford a new one look on e-bay or see if any of your local PC/Console Games shops have 2nd hand ones.:

If you have a Playstation 2 you can use that pad on the PC with a 'Playstation to PC Adaptor' which can cost as little as 4 English pounds (5 euros) and if you need to buy a Playstation 2 pad you can get them from as little as 4 English pounds (5 euros). So for only 10 euros you can be getting better fun.

But save for a wheel they really do give a much truer sense of driving.

PS. As for your keyboard problems I have no idea at all as I have never needed to drive with one ...phew!
