JGTC Capri skins 18 Years, 2 Months ago  
Sometime ago their was a Japan GTC skin pack circulating for the Capri... I had it before I cleared the decks for the python downloader.

is this available to the bude for add to teh autoupdate downloader?

Im not sure who owns the rights to it or wether you can access it?

If it was available there are some great skins in it for us capri fodder.

Hi Latent,

I know the pack you mean and I still have them downloaded somewhere myself.

I think the TEAM SSR site was the only place you could get them from and at the moment they appear to be in difficulties and do not have any GTL downloads at the present time although they say they are working on it.

I did check the simjunkies site and ssr site for them couldn't find anything.
I have some archive disks somewhere, may have the orginal zip file. Not sure what the rules are about distribution?

I have located the JGTC Capri.rar file in my archive.

It has 24 cars, and is 156MB approx. My folders show it originally came from ssr.tk

Please can I submit it for addition to Autoupdate?

Hi Latent,

Also being a fan of the Capri makes me hope that these cars can be made available as there are some very nice paint jobs that may never be seen again and that would be a real shame for the guy(s) who did them.

sorry, we don't need additional 24 Capris!

If you like to drive one or two of them as your personal one, pls. seperate them from the archive and send it to Klaus (noplayer@altbierbude.de) for implementation.

But pls. take care about the slot numbers!
They need to be nummerical, a slotnumber starting with an letter is invalid for GTL's dedi-server and so it will become #0 which is occupied already...

I really think that these could be a good addition to the bude... but understand the limits on server capacity.

I will put my ten favourite skins on the `Hot or Not` pages an let the rest of the community vote and therefore decide which couple should be submitted.

When I submit I will need guidance on which numerical slots are avaialble.

I made a car with slotnumber "79CS" and it works fine online. It seems you can put letters after the number. You just can't begin the slotnumber with letters, it must begin with numbers. With numbers+letters there are almost unlimited combinations.

Agreed with that. Or at least, not 24 from the same author in one batch. Let's leave some space for other skinmakers too. The "Hot Or Not" idea is good!

"79CS" becomes "79" for the GTL Server...

The Slotnumer is an integer value

Characters in front of the number will become Slot0
Characters behind the number will be ignored

So I guess that means that you must choose a car with a completely different number to any other Capri on the Bude otherwise eg: car 32xx would overwrite car 32 already on the Bude. Sounds simple enough to me.

There you go chaps, easy peasy unless your dyslexic!
