If many privateers raced in the 1960s on Peugeot cars (http://ma204.free.fr/
dossiers-generaux/rallye/index.htm), the brand was not officially involved in road competi-
tion. In 1970, Jean Guichet lead the semi-official team and entered 2 cars at the Tour de
Corse. Associated with Jean Todt as co-pilot, Jean Guichet ranked 4th in Group 1 on his 504
(16th overall), but Jean-Pierre Jabouille's 304 Gr2 (the future F1 driver) was not fast
enough and was eliminated. A few months later, the same car driven by Chasseuil - Baron won
the Gr1 class at the Morocco Rally 1971. The 304 Gr2 next appearance was in the french
"Rallye des Roses" (near Antibes) in 1972 (Jean Guichet was 6th) then in Tour de Corse –
Tony Fall and Hannu Mikkola won the class. For Peugeot senior management, this was not a
surprise: "Our cars are very strong and it is normal that they win that kind of rally!"
But it soon became apparent that in order to fight against berlinettes Alpine, Lancia and
Fiat in Gr2, the engine and chassis had to be prepared as seriously as possible. Peugeot's
main goal was to strengthen the reputation of solidity and reliability of their cars so,
since Group1 cars were closer to the market model, Peugeot focused was mainly on the 504
Group1 and African Rallies (Morocco, Ivory Coast, Kenya) after the factory officially
involved in competition in December 73 at the Bandama Rally. The Peugeot 304 Gr2 was mainly
raced by french privateers (Chasseuil at the Rallye du Var 1972 or Michèle Mouton as copilot
in the Monte-Carlo 1973).

The most famous is Bob Neyret's "Aseptogyl" feminine team that raced with the 304 in 1975-
1976 Peugeot 304 Aseptogyl Group 2.

For Installation extract the PEUGEOT_304_V1.0.rar file in your GT-legends
mainfolder and answer questions to overwrite with "yes" - no original Files will be
overwriten.
If maunal Installation is required drag the folders out of the *.rar file to the following
paths:

Folder Peugeot 304 to /GTL/GameData/Teams/TC-76
Folder Peugeot_304 to /GTL/GameData/Sounds
Folder Talent to /GTL/GameData

The Folder /GTL/GameData/Teams/TC-76 is not part of the original GT-L installation and has
to be created manually or also copied from the *.rar archive.

Important:
The car is not fixed to an other GTL car. In generic installation the car will appear in
the TC-65 class, which was picked to match it with cars of (+/-) same power. By age it
needs to be in TC-GTC-76, where it lacks the power. To put the car in the class of your
choice, please open the *.car files in every number folder
(for ex. /TC-76/14CY/14cy_SIM_TC_304.CAR) with the text pad and alter the line classes=
by adding or removing the // infront of the line to activate or inactivate the line. Only
one line can be active!
TC-76 is not of the original GTL classes. It needs to be created before you can use the
car (an others) in this class. For information how to make new classes open your
SIM_GTC.GDB and add a new class in the Categorys (for ex. SIM_TC76). Then create a new
*.GDB file, following the example of the exisiting ones (for ex. SIM_TC65.GD. Don't
forget to make backups. Then fill your new class in the Classes= line in your *.car file
between the quotation marks. You can also copy classes from generic GTL cars.

It is not permitted to change, to convert or to reuse files without express consent of the
creators. Please respect our work!

New Skins are welcomed - please download the templates seperately! We are curious what
you gonna paint and hope you gonna show screenshots and videos on forums!

The look of that car reminds me of my early childhood, when lots of similar-looking cars rolled the streets of my hometown (besides many VW-Käfers, Citroen 2CVs, or Renault R4s).

I like it ... and other than usuall, i like to drive it too ... despite the fact, that it is NOT RWD.

Diesr Wagen erinnert mich sehr an meine frühe Kindheit, als viele davon (oder ähnlich) in meiner Heimatstadt unterwegs waren (neben Käfern, Enten oder Renault R4s).

Ich mag es ... und ungewöhnlich ... ich mag es, diesen Wagen zu fahren ... obwohl es kein Hecktriebler ist.

habe vor eine woche,einen in top zustand gesehen,uns ich weis wo einer steht fur lage zeit. habe paar mal fotografiert,aber es ist nicht fur verkauf. Fur schrott in 2 jahren..... Schade,scher schickes auto.......

Auch verpasst...

Schönes Auto, ich habe aber irgendwie ein (gewolltes?) Problem in den Kurven mit ihm. Beim Gasgeben dreht bei mir schon in mittelschnellen Kurven (z.B. Kurve zur Start/Ziel auf Berlin-Avus) das innere Rad durch, egal wie hoch ich die Sperre setze. Bei den VWs kann ich dass mit einer 70% Sperre schon fast in engen Kurven elliminieren.

Feedback muss nicht immer positiv sein Aber man muss immer dankbar sein fur neue kisten Ich bin dankbar und positiv heute In simulationen,ich bin die eine die front-triebler hasst. Liebe den heck bewegen,driften.... Hatte zu viel realen front-triebler in mein realen leben gehabt,und fahre diese sehr ungern in simulationen. Bis jetzt. Ich hatte nix dagegen golf und schirocco,aber kleine zwerg hier ist sus wie eine gumibar von haribo An kleinen strecken,wie hitchin oder gotheborg,mann kann escorte und andere,schlagen,und zerstoren So viel grip,macht fahren echt spass,und meine mehr hunderte tausend kilometer mit FR autos,hilfen mir auto bis letzte pferdstarke raus zu quietschen Spass,der macht echt spass. In situazionen,wo mit kadett b oder gta junior,"all would be lost",kleine peugeot,macht einfach weiter. Erst overtseer,dann understeer,aber sehr kontrollierbar,mann kan was zeit verlieren,aber auto bleibt an strecke so danke an die macher,die ermoglichen,das alte lady,GT Legends gennant,noch lebt. Und mann,wie es lebt noch Grusse, und grosse danke fur "gummibarchen" valentino
