The GTL version of the F1 1971 Mod

Credits:

- The Original creators were BigFelix and Me_Slayer of Team Crew for F1C.

- The rFactor conversion was done by Reuteman, ChiefWiggum, Slimjim and Ed Straker.

- The GTR2 conversion, which is the basis for the P&G version, is brought to you by Dylan.

Differences to the known GTR2 version:

- League physics has been replaced with physics by Team CREW
- Physics has been adapted for P&G
- new engine sounds made by wolferl
- added P&G Showroomfloor
- new P&G Classes-file
- new Talent-files

- known bugs:
- Fuel pressure gauge in the BRM does not work
- Fuel gauge in the Ferrari does not work properly
- partly wrong shadows
- and other minor graphical errors
- Sound of the Cosworth engines becomes quieter from approx. 9500 rpm. If you can fix this, please contact us.
- If someone can correct these errors, feel free to do so.

A big thank you to all involved! I drove the mod in rF and although it's great, the physics of GTR/GTL suit me much better and now that we can enjoy it here at ABB with my friends.....awesome!

Yesterday was the release party and immediately it showed it's potential.
If the 67 mod might be very hard to drive for some (although I see people who are not in the alien section do well too!), the 71 mod is good for everybody. At Monza I was beaten by people who normally are half a second or more slower than me in GTL and that shows how drivable these cars are. I didn't have a setup yet but at default the Surtees I took was very managable and fun! Of course very dangerous and fast but hey, that's what we like!
Can't wait to try the other cars and have a season of 1971 here at the bude!

It's still mind blowing to be in a community where people spend months or years making stuff that is available for free when they're done and shared with thousands of enthousiasts who appreciate their work so much. It's hard to descibe the respect and thankfulness so I try by racing. Simracing is a cool world.

Und nicht zu vergessen, Simracing vereinigt Leute die gut verdienen mit Leute die es finanziell nicht so gut haben. Ich wuensche Ich haette Geld um die Kreativen hier zu unterstuetzen aber das geht nur sporadisch. Simracing ist die Moeglichkeit um auch wenn du nicht viel Geld hast oder im reallen Leben keine Arbeit hast oder sonst Probleme deinen Traum um Rennen zu fahren und mit Freunde das zu geniesen. Das ist schon wichtig. Respekt fuer jeder der hier faehrt.
Das Ich dann in Zandvoort meine Freunde live treffen konnte ist schon etwas sehr spezielles!

Is it normal not to see the wheels in cookpit view ? (same for F1 67!)

you can change this in the settings "wheels visible" or so.

However, this does not apply to the front wheels. Either you set it via the autoupdater or turn the 0 into a 1 in your plr at wheels visible in cockpit.

In Updater under tweaks/profile settings/graphic options
do not forget to save

Natuerlich sehr gluecklich mal das Auto von Gijs van Lennep zu fahren! Den Surtees TS7.

Nur die Farbe, ist die richtig?
Ich frage es weil Ich auch Bilder onl;ine sehe die mehr orange sind und Ich dachte auch das das so war damals.
Ich frage ,mal Hollaendische Kenner. Alle Modelautos sind aber hart rot wie im Spiel.

Der Helm ist nicht rot (wie doch bei Modelautos, da bin Ich sicher. In GTL ist das OK.

Rote Lackierung ist immer schwer in Bilder/Videos. Denke mal and den Marlboro McLarens. Die waren hartfluo orange aber im Fernsehen sieht das dann wie rot aus.

Yepp, der Mod ist aber mal so RICHTIG GUT!

Ich kann Caspar nur beipflichten! Er ist fahrbar für ALLE. Und schon ist eine völlig andere Competition erkennbar. Auch der "Umstand" das eine Reifenwahl gegeben ist, macht den Mod umso interessanter... hoffentlich bleibt das so und wer weiß... vielleicht macht das ja Schule und ist eine Option für die anderen Klassen/Championate hier. Denn es kommt auch anderen Fahrstilen zugute bzw deutlich mehr gerecht.
Anyway: ich freue mich wie Bolle darüber, das dieser Mod nun auch hier in der jetzigen Form verfügbar ist UND ich freue mich auf´s Rennen heute Abend, selbst wenn ich mir keine Chance auf einen Blumentopf ausmale, hehe.
Der Spassfaktor ist auf JEDEN FALL immens, denn das Fahrverhalten der Boliden ist tatsächlich sehr nachvollziehbar und wer auch immer für dafür verantwortlich war: CHAPEAU! TOP-JOB! So und nicht anders!

Ich habe es DER Kenner in Holland gefragt und der sagt auch orange/rot also die Farbe stimmt nicht.
Niks schlimmes und keine Kritik.
Aber wenn mal einer die richtige Lackierung machen koennte und wollte...

Uebrigens, er sagte das das Auto von 1970 auch schon nicht echt rot war und das Surtees sicher kein Geld ausgab an Lackierung...

Vielen Dank für diese super geilen Mod! Absolut Klasse! Bei mir tritt leider der Fehler auf - wenn ich egal ob beim training oder Rennen den ESC button drücke fliege ich komplett aus dem Spiel anstatt ins Mainmenu oder wieder in die Box zu gelangen Woran könnte das liegen? Danke im Voraus!

Nope. Könnte man aktivieren, aber gab es damals halt nicht.

ja,ist die steam version.
Musste darauf zurückgreifen seit meinem lappi ohne laufwerk

Dann verschieb oder kopier den kompletten GTL Ordner mal woanders hin, also z.B. einfach auf C. Aus diesem GTL Verzeichnis startest du dann die GTL.exe manuell und dann mal gucken ob es dann geht. Steam währenddessen nicht starten.
Das Spiel liegt in "C:\Programme(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common
