Description:
------------
A free downloadable add-on car pack, based on old Formula One era cars.
F1 Legends Racing (shortly F1LR) is a scratch build mod for SimBin games GT Legends, GTR2 and Race 07 / Race Injection.

There is one base mesh (car body tubus and engine) with genstring changable details (wheels, mirrors, windshields etc.)

List of style groups:
group 1: car body (7 styles)
group 2: windshield (3 styles)
group 3: mirror (4 styles)
group 4: wheel tire and rim (9 styles)

To get more fun into the F1LR game play, there is seven different main car slots (car manufacturers) created, related to the 1967 F1 real racing cars, with physics, based on this cars.

Every F1LR car manufacturer is easy to disclosure, what for car sim physics will be used, I guess... just:

Beagle Racing Team= 1967 Eagle
Britus Racing Team = 1967 Lotus
GBR Racing Team = 1967 BRM
Grabham Racing Team = 1967 Brabham
Hooper Racing Team = 1967 Cooper
Scarrini Racing Team = 1967 Ferrari
Yonda Racing Team = 1967 Honda

Every F1LR car manufacturer slot is trying to keep the ground of real 1967 F1 car skins - race team colors at least.

The reason, why the F1LR cars are imaginary car manufacturers and driver names, is the main car body 3d model wasnt created accurate according any real historic cars. It is just a bit improved lowpolygonal model from my own made arcade game attempt (2012), made with 3DRad game editor.

There is also a F1LR mod support including texture templates to create new car user skins and another tools they help fans to create own car slots. We highly recommend a configurator F1LRconfig tool for F1 Legends Racing mod. F1LRconfig is designed to work with GTL & GTR2 only. No Race Series support, sorry.

F1LRconfig main features:
* Select genstring options - graphically depicted as car parts.
* Turn car slots ON or OFF
* Add / Delete car slots
* Edit car slot details
* Assign any AUD (car sounds) to car slot.
* Skin Car Slots - Add own helmet, body and cockpit skins.
* GTL - Add F1LR class to SIM_GTC.gdb class file
* GTL & GTR2 - Add wheels in cockpit view.
* Run Sim from program


Installation:
-------------
Unzip and drop the GameData file into your GTL game installation.
Open the GTL GameData folder and add a new row to SIM_GTC.gdb file at Category item, called F1LR = F1LR (tip: you can use F1LRconfig tool to do this for you).
Look at GTL UserData folder, find your player *.PLR file, open it with notepad, find a "Wheels Visible In Cockpit" item and rewrite it this way:
Wheels Visible In Cockpit="1" (tip: you can use F1LRconfig tool to do this for you).
Save your modified *.PLR file, run game... a new class "F1LR" should appear at menu. Select it and say hello to F1LR cars

Also ich bin ja weiß Gott kein OW Fan, aber den MOD find ich klasse, sehr unterschiedlich zu fahrende Auto's, dazu die schön blockierenden VR und wenn's scheppert, dann strecken sie alle viere von sich, sehr fein gemacht
Nur am Sound gäbe es bestimmt noch was zu tüfteln, aber gibt schlimmeres...
Auf jeden Fall ein fettes DANKE für diese Bereicherung der ABB!

This was the surprise of the day YEAH
I got big eyes and my expectations were high.

The first is, of course...this mod is compared with the GPL (Grand Prix Legends) & it's easier to drive these cars in GTL than in the old Sierra GPL, but...there is a lot of work in the garage with setups before the car running perfect.

For us who were there from the beginning of the GPL in 1998 & to follow the story a little more correctly, the server might be changed to run the 11 tracks from GPL

Rouen-les-Essarts (Le Mans Bugatti)

A little scary, server running on MT Paorama (Bathurst)- these cars are in my opinion not suitable here - but in 1967 Denny Hulme world champion in F1 (Brabham)& Hulme died by heart attack...behind the wheel of the BMW M3 at this track in 1992.

Vielen Dank für den schönen Mod.

Die Fahrzeuge zu bewegen macht richtig Spaß.
Die alten GPL'er(ich bin selbst dort noch ab und zu aktiv) stellen
natürlich sofort Vergeiche an.

Pelle schrieb GPL sei schwieriger.

Das stimmt meiner Meinung nach nur bedingt.
GPL war "Einsteigerfeindlich", ursächlich durch die schlecht fahrbaren Standard Setups.
Folglich stellten viele das Spiel gleich wieder in die Ecke.
Wenn man sich aber ernsthaft damit befasste war es letzten Endes gut zu fahren.

Und das ist der Grund warum ich diesen neuen Mod, der auch wie ich denke gar keine Kopie von GPL sein will, gut finde.
Man kommt auf Anhieb einigermassen klar und die Leute verlieren nicht gleich die Lust. Der Sound ist wirklich sehr bescheiden, aber da kann man ja etwas nachhelfen.Grafik-Updates wurden ja auch schon in Aussicht gestellt.



Also für mich: ganz klar Daumen hoch

Für mich auch.
Sehr fahrbare Autos auch für Anfänger aber wenn man wirklich schnell sein will ist es schon eine neue Herausforderung. Ein bishen wie Power&Glory für GTR2.

Sehr schön gemachte Wagen. Gefällt mir sehr.

Nur habe ich ein Problem. Ich fahre ja in der Cockpitanscht. Da sehe ich aber die Vorderräder nicht.
Die oeberen Träger die zu den Räder führen sehe ich zwar, aber den Rest nicht?

An was kann das liegen?

Von der Einstellung selber hab ich mal irgendwas gelesen. Wusste nur nicht mehr wo suchen. Aber ich wie ich bin hab im Spiel gesucht. Und da findet man nichts.

Machen wirklich Laune diese Fahrzeuge. Habe bis jetzt aber auch nur 3 angetestet.

Yonda, Scarrini und den Beagle. Wobei ich sagen muss dass mir der Beagle bis jetzt am besten gefällt.

Die anderen teste ich aber sicher auch noch. Vielleicht passt mir ein anderer noch besser.

Auf jeden Fall ein riesen Dankeschön von mir für diesen Mod!

ich sehe bei mir auch die Vorderräder nicht und wollte es über den Autoupdater geändert haben.
Der sagt aber nur "Keine neuen Dateien".
Wie kann ich es lösen´, ohne in für mich heiklen Daten rumzuändern

Also... sowas schöön . Das ist ja wie früher mit GPL nur noch schöner weil nicht so zickig und mit richtigen, netten Leuten drumherum.
Vielen Dank für diese Bereicherung des Spiels.
Ich hab den Ferrari probiert, ging gar nicht, der Brabham ist schon etwas pflegeleichter und auch nicht sofort kaputt. Bei dem Gerangel und Chaos in der ersten Kurve ist das ein Vorteil

Even when cars are not exactly authentic, i would rather see that their names are just the same as it was in Grand Prix Legends.

I mean, Sierra and Papyrus are dead, buried and barred already for a long time.

So whats the deal?

I mean, a 1967 formula 1 car with the enginesound of a ford capri really doesnt make any sense to me

ah, the another one...
F1LR is NOT a Grand Prix Legends conversion. F1LR is about imaginary cars for GT Legends, based on 1967 F1 car physics.
to do not insult the real car manufacturers we set a simple rule: it is not allowed to create new car manufacturers or change the original F1LR car manufacturer / car logos. that means no "Scarrini team" to "Ferrari team" transformation.
braking such rules caused the event at NoGrip site - I removed the mod download from there (at june 2013).

oh yes, we can create the real looking F1 cars of course, but it will take not 6 months, but 6 years or even more.

you did probably never heard about permissions and how the sounds for SimBin games are made.
find all the GPL sound creators and ask them for permissions...
in F1LR mod development days (january - may 2013) we asked for sound support or sound creator, without success.
I agree the actual F1LR sounds are crap. but waiting for some help the mod were be never released.

well, the F1LR GTL mod 1.01 is cca 10 months out without changes, but some nice things happen latest days:
few days back we got permissions from a great sound creator called wolferl to use his sounds with our mod! wolferl is very known at the race sim mod scene, his car sounds based on real historic cars are used in many car-adons for GTR2, GT Legends or rFactor.

so, a new part of the F1LR project is opening... the next mod release should include improved 1967 car physics, the mentioned wolferls sounds (Eagle, Lotus, BRM, Brabham, Cooper, Ferrari, Honda) and some car mesh changes (different exhaust and engine pipes at least).

thats the plan.

Mag ja sein. Aber ich hatte GTL als Tourenwagenspiel gekauft.
Werde diesen Mod nur sehr spärlich nutzen.

Nochwas: Kann zwar damit unheimlich schnell fahren (bin aber total langsam gegenüber den anderen Fahrern, was aber erstmal egal ist), aber ich kann die Fahrphysik nicht ernst nehmen. GPL war da ganz anders.
Entweder liege ich hier gefühlsmäßig falsch oder es handelt sich um einen verzichtbaren Mod???
Sorry.
