Just as the title says: does the 20Gbs of ABB content include the default GTL's cars & tracks too?

Nope, don't think it does. You have to have an original DVD or download from the official channels.

I have bought GTL on Steam. Was just wondering.

Edit: by "original content" I was meaning cars and tracks only, not the game engine itself.

By the time you have used the Autoupdater you should have all you need for online running which includes the default tracks.

I find it to be a good idea to run the reinstallation after a new install just in case something has been missed... this can happen.

Rinstallation does not reinstall everything it simply checks the install over for errors etc.

but don't hit the reinstall-button as long as the autoupdater keeps finding something... because it always does...

Just run it once and then hit the servers. If you don't encounter any problems online, there is no need to klick reinstallation again (or maybe twice a year).

Well, not in my case: my Autoupdater always finds 7.380,6 Mb of "local files" it wants to reinstall, which should amount to the total weight of ABB downloadable cars (but there's another thread for that).

As long as you use the re-instalattion option, it will find this stuff for re-installation. Thats absolutely normal and the same for me and all other users!

But it always finds stuff to reinstall, even if I click on "Update", like this evening with the newest cars (Opel GT #313, etc...). Instead of only downloading those few Mbs, I have to reinstall 7 Gbs of cars.

But if you say that this is normal for every user...
