Hi all.

I'm just about to build a new computer as mine is in need of replacement.

It will be XP again - don't like Windows 7 anyway. What would be a good choice for processor and graphics card to run GTL and GTR2? I'm presuming that today I should easily be able to run all graphics options at the highest settings.

The only other game I play is MS Flight Sim (2004 and FSX). The reason I ask is my current processor has never been fully utilised by either game.

I can play with 1600x1200, all MAximum, Fullscreen AA @ Level 6

I have 85fps i cant see more with fraps because my Monitor does not allow more then 85hz

Hi Mavermick,

I run an i5 with 8 GB RAM and a Radeon 6870.
As GTL is more dependant on the CPU take care your new CPU is powerful.

So ingame its all on highest Level, but in the tool Catalyst from AMD its more in middle, because on all over highest quality there are not enough fps.

If you want highest level overall in high resolution you should buy a high-end videocard and best an intel i7.

Edit: its quiet good performance and quality for me and I'm happy, but there are still options in Catalyst to perform the quality on higher level for the best of the best

Hi kiste,

in newer videocards there are more options to force the quality p.E. anisotropic filtering, more antialiasing features/level.

And a higher resolution means more pixel to render, so it will be slower.

Muss jetzt mal deutsch antworten, sorry.
Ich hab diese ganzen optionen auch, die gibts schon ewig. in 2 Tagen kommt nen HD Monitor selbst mit 1920x1080 werd ich noch mehr frames haben wie ich brauche.

Ich wette ich habe weit über 100fps, bekomme eben nur 85 angezeigt.

Das Spiel kann mein Computer einfach nicht auslasten. Daher man brauch hier garnichts was mit high end zu tun hat

wenn Du die GTLconfig.exe startest, mach mal die Haken bei "V-Sync" und "Fenstermodus" raus!

War bei mir auch so, danach lief es besser!
