i'm having a problem since I updated today. There was about 100mb of data, everything ran nice.

I started the game, and got a 10sec freeze when entering multiplayer mode.
And again a 10sec freeze when connecting to a server.
I could play, no issue there, but had this freeze again at every session/event change.

To check if this could come from the data, i went into solo practise, and noticed that when i want to add ABB-GTC-TC76+ or ETCC to the list of car i can select, i have to try two or three times before it works.

I didn't have that issue before, is anyone else having the same problem ?
Maybe someone has an explanation ?

No problems like that here. Do you use the DVD?

What do you mean exactly ? Do I play with the DVD in the drive ? No.

I can try a clean reinstall.

No. First install the car classes manually and look if the problem is still acute.

Hi again, thanks for your answer.

I did some tests:

After a clean (vanilla) reinstall, i have no problem, with a new profile or my old one.

After adding all cars and tracks through the updater, i have the freeze only using my old profile. If i create a new one, no problem !

I tried to add manually add the cars and the tracks.
Adding the tracks changed nothing.

After adding cars of the GTC-65 category only, i noticed a slow down. Not the 15sec freeze i had before, but a couple of seconds.
To be sure i then added the TC-64 cat, and got my reward: a 8sec freeze.

I wondered if i had some cars in my garage that were not available in the game (old addons), but that's not the case.

I tried to sell a bunch of cars to see if it had any effect, and it didn't.

One thing strikes me now: i think i started to receive SIM_GTC.bch warning around the same time it started to freeze, could there be a link ?

This gdb missmatches could be the reason for small freezes. Maybe a manual install of the carclasses helps to solve the problem.

I removed the GDB file and restarted the game.
No error message, but the same freeze.

I'll try to install the cars one by one.

I finally found the problem!

I compared a brand new savegame with my own and found a difference in multiplayer options:
I had a vehicle filter set to "4223" in my config file.

I put "-1" and it now works like a charm !
