Hi Gianni,
first of all "Welcome to the Bude".
Nice to see that you support our community now directly by posting in our humble bulletin boards as well.
(Hehe, maybe you still have some roots here due to your stay in DE you mentioned long time ago?)
Looking forward for some more nice scratch build tracks of your region, hope I could add some value to your efforts to get good results in GTL too.

the good old GM2-engine of GTL doesn't like overlapping faces, this will lead into flashing structures.
I'll try to fix it ...

I see...  ...
-20 faces (triangles  )on that piece of track can be deleted, but the remaining 4 adiacent to the joint should be repositioned to follow the curve of the main path... I just hope that repositioning the vertexes will not affect the "bending of the neighbours pannels..."
Another solution that comes into my mind is to delete even the remaining 4, and to cover the hole with a kind of wall (or with a rumble strip...)
...damn...  ...wish I knew that before...

Do you have the used road texture with a dotted line on the left side at hands?
Guess this would have a nice effect...

...In a few days I`ll get back on it, and retexture all the objects (walls trees paddock...)... I`ll add also some more trackside objects.

with SimEd2.6 I could (finally) use the bakemap feature (like SimBin does with the stock tracks).
So I'll try for the first time with Zaluzani, guess this will add some eye candy ....

Great way to avoid the shadow caster on walls and regularly shaped objects ; ...and, if done properly, it looks even better than with the shadows turned on... although it requires a bit more work with P.shop on the background picture...
...Now, looking at the picture, there is almost no difference between the GTL terrain mapping and the rFactor background blending

Great!!!
it's my first try with this technique. I've used Blender's uvtexture painting feature to 'draw' directly onto the 3d mesh. Finished this "bake map" now.
Hope you like the result.
Pls. find a current WIP >here<
Now I'll continue with the AIW for GTL and wait for your updates...
(Pls. try to 'mark' the updates somehow to merge it into the current GTL version)
