Did a manual download of the new text doc and added to gtl. I clicked to over write the old file, hope this is correct?

Anyway, on to online play. I beleive you have to 'register' again?

If so when trying to fill in the e-mail address on the register screen the @ key does not work for me here for some reason.

Please help as my old login does not work any more and I'm without GTL online !!!!!

I don't succeed in joining lobby.
I ran as swish, I've registered my profile again as swish, but nothing!
Where's the error?
The phrase is: connection failed, generic error
As zibbi, on another pc, I had no troubles, registration successfully and go!
But as swish.. grrrrrr... .
Please, just a little help from my friends..

Hi swish. Sometimes i had the same problem as you with Cable connection. I dont know why this happens but when i change provider to DSL then my profile works good. Try many times to connect, this method can helps, but its very horrible thing Thats why i have 2 lobby names Cuore_Sportivo and Sunday_Driver ;( I have no idea how to fix it. Mayby some ports are blocked by provider... dunno. Sorry for my english <shy> ;]

But I have to create a new profile in GTL game?
I hoped to play still with my old profile "swish" so I registered again as swish but still no connection... Boh?..

When i had exactly the same problem about year ago (old lobby) i had made different online user name(online register) and i didnt change Driver Profile in GTL. I could join lobby with new lobby name, but couldnt with old (same PC). Try to login as swish with other Internet Connection and your PC if this is possible or zibbi on your PC. I remember 1 thing more. I had installed new operating system and problem was still here O.o I hope you will understand me haha;] Good Luck

@swish: Try to register before login. After you haved entered your data press the big arrow on the right side (and not the login on the left). You can login only after registration.

You can do it yourself. Enter DELETE_ACCOUNT as your email address and try to register.

This will be also the recommended way to change your password. Delete your account and recreate a new one.

I changed nothing but restarted GTL and it worked fine again.

Were you perhaps restarting the lobby at that time? (or do I have something weird to investigate? )

And if you can find time... 2 questions to satisfy my curiosity...

Under what circumstances would GTL try to connect to the backup lobby?

If you restart the main lobby (with updates e.g.), do you also have to restart the backup lobby?

i will try to give you some answers.
The lobby was not restarted. The current process is running more than 5 days. But you are right, sometimes there is a problem to login. I think it's caused by locks. I will think about it and fix it.

Under what circumstances would GTL try to connect to the backup lobby?
When GTL is not able to connect to the main lobby
First GTL tries to connect to the main lobby. When it fails it will automatically try to connect to the backup lobby.

If you restart the main lobby (with updates e.g.), do you also have to restart the backup lobby?
Because the current configured backup lobby is the simbim lobby, we have no access to the backup lobby.

just at the end of quali (for the GC Mini league)...
* everybody's track reloaded, (some several times)
* 2 players trying to join late got "General Error..." when trying to login
* at least 1 player's track reloaded in the first lap of the race

Any clues as to what might have caused this?

The lobby is down, at least we (Simjunkies) can't login to it at this moment. I also get an error when I try to launch a dedicated 'Login Failed: General Error! Cannot Broadcast to Lobby'

Same here, strange It shows the Lobby online and the Live tickers show people RACING online.<
But I can't get on either Worked okay 2 hours ago.

Yes i have the same problem.I leave the altbierbudenserver 3 and he didnt find a server and now i can´´t login to the multiplayer..

Yup... I can't join either.

There are a few of us on TS trying to join my Saturday Midnight Racers Club.

It appears to have stopped taking new players sometime around 9.20pm CET.

I have withdrawal symptons and I am begining to shake without my daily injection of GTL... It will be a long... long... night
