I get the following error message when I click on the Autoupdator icon. Any ideas? Thanks, JB

First of all: read the readme.txt

It looks like you start the program out of the Zip archive with RAR (do you have a license?). You have to unpack the files to a folder of your choice (but please not the Temp folder) and start the program from this folder.

Maybe you got the error message because you are a seldom Autoupdate user - so you should download not only the neuwest python runtime but also the lastest Autoupdater 2.1.1.

Thanks for you suggestions but No Joy so far. This problem started after I had computer problems and deleated the game and Python26 folder along with the addon cars and tracks folder I used to download from the bude almost on a daily basis. I tried several zip type programs with no luck. When I click on the altbierbude_en icon I continue to get the error message. Might you have another suggestion?

Did you install Python 2.6 as an administrator of your PC? I was thinking about your problem and tried some silly things but without success. So I think that the message

So my advice: install python as administrator and everything should be ok. Alternatively, you could install the VC++ 2008 runtime or VC++ 2008 SP1 runtime.
I don't know which one python needs but one of them is the necesary runtime. The python installer would install it normally, but without admin privileges that is not possible.
