I had a great fun yesterday. Even though I messed up big during race 1.
I took the pole position quit comfortable even though I was able to go down to 1:27.
The start was OK but then - I had no practice with the car when someone is next to me, so I made 2 quick cuts in the first chicane. Apologies to Fin here as he had to lift the throttle to protect my car and that let AGM to make a decent lead.
Unfortunately the third cut followed at the penultimate corner of lap 3 where even though I lost some time the game punished me.
So pit stop and 40 seconds lost.
After that I had very good race. I was in P18 but was able to finish in P8 with the fastest lap of the race.
I had great battles with Taffy, HiPo and JB.
Race 2 was even better. I took another pole and the car was wonderful. Very agile for a muscle car and quick.
This time it seems I have learned my mistakes from Race 1 and didn't make a single noticeable mistake.
Unfortunately Fin had trouble and went to the pit at the end of lap 2.
After that I was able to increase the gap to Wiege in P2 and Bernd in P3.
I knew AGM will have better tires at the end so I couldn't avoid driving slowly and safely.
The car though was brilliant even with very worn front right tire and I was able to stay with the Mini tempo and to win the race.
