Hi,

Firstly, thanks for releasing Mallory for GTL. It is a great track for TC65's. I am able to run qualifying OK, but for some reason I am getting a crash to desktop just as the race is to begin. I'm on the grid and the flag is about to drop and GTL CTD's. I've tried deleting the .hat file and extracting the ZIP back into the locations folder, but this had no effect.

Hi Max,

Mallory works fine for me. Perhaps you could trying deleting the track and then re install it rather than just overwrite it.

The reason I suggest this is because tracks even cars sometimes seem to get files in there folders corrupted and this solution has helped more than once in the past.

I've downloaded the track again, deleted anything associated with Mallory in the GTL directory and installed again. I have the same problem as before. I have a large number of add-on tracks and not had any problems before so I think my GTL instalation is ok.

When trying to run, I have jumped the start and the AI cars have begun their race ok, but once disqualified, I got a CTD.

During qualifying I have noticed that the AI cars get stuck behind barriers etc and also at the start of the race, the first few grid spots are unoccupied. Please see attached image.



Any help would be appreciated

yes you're right, it seems that the current version is a bit buggy.

MotorFX, the guy who's involved in all the versions (rF/GTL/GTR2/Race07), improved his current cversion onces more, so I assume there will be a fixed GTL version soon.

I've solved the CTD when the race is about to begin by updating GTL to the latest version.

Hi, I'm getting CTD's with the latest version on the loading screen, but not all of the time. Would selecting Quick race, no qualy upset it?
Also If I download this track from nogrip is it legal to copy it to others for online league racing?

Hi Tony of the Wiltshire variety,

Because you are able to save & load from GTL on the hard drive, files do occasionally get corrupted.

If the track is keep crashing the game I would think you have 2 options.

Option 1.
a. delete the track from GTL/GameData/Locations as it may have become corrupted.

b. Reinstall this track by going to your Archive Altbierbude/AddonTracks folder and opening the zipped file and cut & paste it to were you deleted the file from.

Option 2.
a. Uninstall GTL using the uninstall feature on the GTL disk (do not delete files by hand).

b. Reinstall the GTL game with the GTL diask and do not forget to all reinstall the 1.1 patch.

Doing it this way will not overwrite your personal data such as Profiles and set ups etc, but if you are worried make a back up of your 'UserData' file.

This always works for me so I hope it works for you.

Hi Geedee, thanks for your reply. Did as you suggested and re-installed the track. So far it has behaved itself. I even set up a 33 car race and it loaded fine!
Now if I could get an authoritive answer to the legal question maybe my other racing league will adopt this wonderful circuit

Unfortunately I'm now getting CTD's during races. Are there any files I can submit for further analysis. Such a shame as this circuit is a natural for TC65 racing.

Hi Tony,

As no one else is getting CTD's (or are there?) it must be a problem at your end.

GTL relies on data being correct or it crashes. If you have reinstalled the track and GTL then try doing it again.

The only thing I can suggest after that is to check through all your car and track files and even sound files and make sure they are all in the right folders as this IS very important, one file out of place can cause CTD's.

Hi, No I hadn't deleted the .HAT file but I have now. Not had time to re-test but will do so asap.
