Great start of the F1 series!

I couldn't get anywhere near my PB in qualy buut at P15 I got lucky in T1 and ended soon in P11 right behind Titanium and schwamerl in their blue Ferraris. I got very close in the 3rd sector but on the long straight....

Then we started to overtake people and I was inside on Wolfgang and he wanted to let me by after the turn. I planned in the turn and nudged him off. Waited, was told to go on and now I was 20 seconds behind Micha (was 5..) I ran 30 laps and then pitted in P2. Much to my surprise I was still 7th! Manfred came from behind and passed cleanly on the straight. He then started attacking Shaggy and Bernd and I got there too as the Ferrari's tyres were wearing harder then mine although din't change them. I got closer, much closer and the only spot I could try something at Bernd was near the end of the lap, didn't work. Then sadly Shags went off and Bernd was faster now! I still could catch up and alas, didn't expect rather hard braking from my view and I sent us both off into the wall. Oops. Shaggy was coming back but the top drivers had just lapped him and now both of us too. That was lucky since it now was the last lap and we ended, with rather bent cars in still the same positions, 7 and 8 or so.

Almost forgot...just watched the replay. In the beginning it became clear how hard it is in the RSR to beat the other cars. I was behind Spritty , welcome back, and lost speed while chasing close and then lost it all on the straight. It would be hard to get ahead!
When I luckily got by titanium was in front and schwamerl behind, a maranello sandwich! Schwamerl was very much in control and patiently came closer while I lost time behind titanium in the twisty bits, which is 3/4 of the track. When schwamerl was close enough he blasted by on the straight, cool job, and started attacking titanium and made a great pass laps later.

This field at ABB is very very strong. In qualy you have to do the best you ever did to get a good position. I was 18th on the grid (as I saw now) and that with 0.5 of my best time! Hats off to all ABB drivers, no matter where you are in the race. Letting people by on this track was very hard but all did well in my view!

I dare other clubs to say that their races are cleaner than ours!

hat riesen Spass gemacht in Hidden Valley, vor allem mit dem Pantera. Hatte vergessen wie cool sich dieses Auto fährt. Leider hatte ich Trottel ebenfalls vergessen vor dem Rennen zu Tanken!! So rollte ich nach Runde 15 fröhlich aus, weil mein Lenkrad auch noch genau die Sicht auf die Tankanzeige verdeckt... Gottseidank wenigstens starb der Motor am Anfang der Zielgeraden ab und ich konnte in die Box rollen. Leider ist die Boxengasse seeeeeehr lang und ich verlor 2 Runden. Aber was solls, wie gesagt - Spass hats trotzdem gemacht nach fast 2 Jahren wieder mal ein Rennen mit zu fahren!!
Was den Start betrifft: komischerweise war plötzlich das Automatikgetriebe EIN, was ich erst im Zuge des Wegfahrens (P7) bemerkte und hektisch versuchte das auszuschalten - einige Positionen Verlust... Wo kontrolliere ich denn eigentlich, was da offensichtlich voreingestellt ist?

Ist es eigentlich auch nicht.
Evtl bist bloß an die Taste gekommen.

doch doch kann voreingestellt sein. Unter - Optionen - Realismus - kannst du Automatikgetriebe und -kupplung an- oder abwählen als Voreinstellung.

die Einstellung wechselt jedesmal wenn Du F1 drückst und bleibt dann so. Also tatsächlich wohl nur aus versehen an die Taste gekommen. Ich hätte aber auch erst Rechts ranfahren und suchen müssen. Ich vergesse die Tastenbelegung auch jedesmal wieder.
