Hello All!

I really like the altbierbude server: the online stats, the way the tracks are selected and much more.

But I think the enormous number of addon cars makes races almost impossible: many people have to leave the server because they dont have the addon car someone else might be using at the same time.

Long story short: what do you guys think of creating a single carpack, with fewer cars (more addons for cars like the GT40 and the 914 for example, because there is only 1 of each in the game, less for the Cortina and Alfa because there are many of them) trying to keep a reasonable file size (around 50-80 Mb) so more people (specially those with slower internet connection) could also enjoy the great place this server is.<br><br>Post edited by: tio_italo, at: 2006/10/24 23:57

Please go to &quot;Downloads&quot; (Cars and Tracks) pick the beginners package to get all of the needed cars and Tracks.
After that on home site pick the last cars and tracks you´ll find on the right side.
If you install all of them you´ve got the latest edition.

the best thing is to download Phyton-Interpreter: http://www.altbierbude.de/component/ option,com_remository/Itemid,26/func,fileinfo/ id,533/lang,de/
And the download script: http://www.altbierbude.de/component/ option,com_remository/func,fileinfo/id,650/
This script will download all addon cars and track for you and installs it in the right folders.
If your internet connection is very slow. Let your computer download it all @night

yes get the Windows Download Script WDS running, it's magic, there are a lot of addon tracks and cars, adds up to about 3.5 GB but it's done automatically, once you have everything then just use the WDS to check for updates every few days.
