I think the introduction of this GTC-TC-76 Touring Car Cup is great news.

I thought I would do this thread for those of us without the ability to speak anything other than our own language and also for those who do not speak German either.

There will be 10 rounds and the first round will be held at the Hockenheim GP circuit on Sunday 6th January 2008.

GMT = Greenwich Mean Time.....CET = Central European Time
Practice at..6pm GMT.....7pm CET
Qualifying...7pm GMT.....8pm CET
Race starts..8pm GMT.....9pm CET

There will be a choice of GTC-TC-76 cars to choose from so this should be very great fun and interesting to see if the tortoise will be the hare

Hi Gee!

Okay....I swear that I keep it in mind that you guys in Britain are actually one hour back with BST. Wonder how it is in Scandinavian countries, because there are some people f.e. from Finnland in here. I think it´s necessary to mention what basic time is used and it will be done in the English versions of posters for the events next year. Sorry, I forgot this so far. I think this is essential.

By the way, I think this will be very interesting and I hope there will be a great mixture of cars.

I´m in with a Porsche 914/6.
I will try to drive in all 10 runs, but i´m a shiftworker.

Yes BeetleJo your right about Finland being yet another time zone.

Silly old me made a mistake with the Brit’s time. BST is British Summer Time and not British Standard Time and we also have GMT which is Greenwich Mean Time. Don’t worry we all get confused with our stupid time system. Our summer time begins in March & ends in October and our clocks are turned back or forwards ...Lol! This is because our farmers prefer it this way.


Germany is in CET - Central European Time.

The United Kingdom is in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
We are 1 hour behind German time.
7pm in England = 8pm in Germany.

Finland may be in FFT (Flying Fin Time) (I made that up, he he) They use EET (Eastern European Time)
They are 1 hour ahead of German time.
8pm in Germany = 9pm in Finland.

Hmm, interesting point. I hope that we race on high quality tracks suitable for high power cars, like Kyalami, Watkins Glen and similar, not gokart tracks or low-detail circuits.

A race calendar would be great!

Hi bug,

you have to download all tracks and cars from the altbierbude to join the races. Best way to get all is using the download-script.
If it is done you can easily join all races and events by connecting the altbierbuden-server in the GTL-Lobby.

you are allowed to change cars with every event, as this is not "league"-racing.

I'll try to be there also (possibly not always ), because it sounds nice to have a Touring Car Championship with my favourite car here on the "Bude" (BMW CSL).

If you all agree, the "Rodenstock CSL" (Blue-yellow-red) will be mine, because I worked for that Company in the past and I'm a fan of "Klaus Ludwig" (Famous german touring car driver which drove that car)!
