Would like to race with the rookies tonight,need help how to get onto server and how to use password.
When server 5 is running same track as server 3 i can join server 3 but not server 5, i get message track not installed, why?
Also worried that Rookie race will have cars that i will have to download, am using Autoupdater but it will take years to download the cars.

Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

In fact, that is a track you don't have installed - GTL uses a trackname you already have, as it doesn't know this other track.

Also worried that Rookie race will have cars that i will have to download, am using Autoupdater but it will take years to download the cars.You definitely need all the cars and tracks to join the servers. For tonights rookie-club you'll need the tracks and all the paintings of the announced cars.
If someone joins with a car you don't have, you'll end in an infinite loading-loop of this driver. The speed of the P2P-Network is higher in the evening and on weekends - should be possible to download everything within a week...

Download-names are not necessarily the same as track names, for example:
If you have Monza, you should have different layouts of this track after installing (GP, club, 10k, ...).
Personally, I think it's not worth the work to try to download the specific tracks & cars needed this evening - it will probably not work. Just let the autoupdater finish his work and join afterwards without any problems...

Rookie-Club would be this evening: all Cobras and Daytona Coupes, OldringPark and Interlagos
