Hallo!

Probably I´m missing something but once you stop the engine it cannot be turned on again. I test with/without clutch, 1st gear/neutral, ...
Starter does not work. Is it ok?

It still worked for me last time.
but I had to wait a very long time for the car to start.

EDIT:
However, I have only connected the ignition. Not the starter.

If you have ANY button programed to work as "Starter" it wont start, so "Starter" button must be empty --
(ignition must be assigned btw)

Hallo Jungs, liebe Fahrer und Mitstreiter
Die "Alten" wissen es noch.
Nicht jedes Fahrzeug lässt sich mit dem Anlasser starten wenn der Motor einmal aus ist.
Hier hilft (meines Wissens nach) nur eine in Game Einstellung:
Die Zündung auf einen Button legen, aber ( ! WICHTIG ! ) NICHT den Anlasser belegen. Diese Option muss leer bleiben.
Schaltet man die Zündung aus, dann geht der Motor aus.
Das ist bei einem Boxenstopp mit den Formel 1 Fahrzeugen ratsam. Ansonsten kann es passieren, dass der Motor beim Boxenstopp kaputt geht.
Schaltet man die Zündung wieder ein, so startet der Motor von alleine wieder.
Voraussetzung: Der Anlasser ist in den Optionen NICHT belegt.

The “old-timers” still know.
Not every vehicle can be started with the starter motor once the engine is off.
The only thing that helps here (as far as I know) is an in-game setting:
Put the ignition on a button, but ( ! IMPORTANT ! ) DO NOT assign the starter motor. This option must remain empty.
If you switch off the ignition, the engine switches off.
This is advisable for a pit stop with the Formula 1 cars. Otherwise, the engine may break down during the pit stop.
If the ignition is switched on again, the engine will restart automatically.
Prerequisite: The starter motor is NOT assigned in the options.
