Hello,when I start the update it gives me the new files to download so I click yes but it stalls on the first download.When I first installed the script it worked fine so I don't know what has gone wrong.If I open the script archive for a car for example the file will be there but when I try to open it an error message appears saying dammaged or corrupt file.I tried manually downloading a car into the archive( the one the script was stalling on )it replaced the damaged file.I then reopened the script and clicked yes and a new car download started.The script had installed the manually downloaded car into the GTL folder!!!any idea what is wrong? The script has full access through my firewall.

Try the attached script of this board entry. If this one is working, your firewall/router or what ever you have is blocking the connection establishment from the FTP server.

Mine downloads yes but it takes forever to download bigger updates. I mean those when there are many cars/tracks to download. My downloadrates are good that's not problem. It comes down more than 350kb/s but seeds/peers are not connecting. Last update(with lots of Escorts) took over 17 hours with this autoupdatething. This is bit joke may I say. I can get way faster if I download those cars manually.

If updatething is this slow I cant drive ever. Just update after update.

If you would donate you would have much better download speeds. It also depends on how much people are downloading at the moment.

I downloaded the complete collection of Corollas and the BMW 320 and Updates of Escort in about 15 mins.

But in the times when I used the normal open Server download it never took as long as you say, the longest I had was about 35mins. 17 hours sounds utterly too long to me. There must be something wrong if it takes this long.

Some other servers would be very happy if they would have half the variation in tracks, cars, tools and so much other stuff that we are equipped and provided with.

I'm most thankful for the ingenious Autoupdater, I can't imagine to download them all manually, much to much searching around(like on other sites no survey at all). For example try to download all the Minis and Alfas that we need on the bude, no way that would be comfortable.

All I can say is that I'm most pleased about the Autoupdater's download speeds.

Is there somebody who knows how Kubik can solve this?

I know I know. This slowing down thing is made for reason. But cause this buden-server is only place where you dont have to be in league and still get decent driving so I guess I have to just try to get along with it.

I dont have paypal account and I will not get one cause I dont buy thing from other countries. So that counts out my donating.

Still dont get me wrong. This is good place to drive with all these tracks and events and cars and all.

And oh yes. It took almost 2 hours to get under 1MB file from pilsbier's update.

Ich hab seit kurzem auch ein Problem mit dem Autoupdate. Er findet komischerweise unter den neuen Autos nur Martins E21 und das wars. Und den kann er nicht downloaden, zeigt zwar an, dass er es tut, aber es passiert nix.

Kann mir jemand sagen, woran das liegen kann? Hatte nach meiner Festplattenauffrischung kürzlich ja das komplette Paket bereits gesaugt, ging also mal!
