The Autoupdater responds with downloads in 2 distinct ways:
1...If you do not donate anything to the Bude you will get a Peer to Peer connection. This means the more members that are online the better the download speed and the less players on line then the slower the download speed as you are actually downloading a little from each of those who are signed in and you can be contributing to someone else downloading what you have at the same time.
2...If you donate every month to the Bude you are put on the FTP server list that gives a much quicker and stable download speed. When you donate you are given a certain amount of days to be on the FTP server and if you forget to donate again you automatically go back to Peer to Peer downloading.
Sometimes things do go slightly wrong and although you donate you may only get the P to P connection. If this happens to you then just ask one of the admin guys to sort it out for you.
With regards to the "charge continuosly, very fast and don't stop". This is a problem that GTL has during practice & qualifying which is all to do with drivers going in & out of the game during these periods. What happens is that if you are out on track and someone joins or goes out to change his car then comes back in you won't load their car until you pit again or load them at a safe speed or whatever setting you use.
The affect is that if you have just joined then those on track cannot see you and they may hit you without knowing it.
At the start of a race every one will be loaded up so you should see all drivers unless there is a lot of lag.
