New cars 16 Years, 3 Months ago

Hi friends,
is it possible to run on the bude with cars like Aston, Ferrari swb, Fiat 131 Abarth, lancia Fulvia, Bizzarrini and other amazing racing cars?
I've seen these cars wandering on other websites but I run sporadically only in this community.
Cheers

It's always possible if the mods are final, good enough and legal.
We're just testing some of these mods and we'll see if they find a way on the Altbierbuden server

Hi Sibilo,
I run a server for the Bude for addon cars that they cannot run. The admin structure of the Bude makes using this type of car difficult if not intergrated into the system properly.
The server is on Wednesday and Saturday night's and we use different modded cars each session night.
You can find us on the English part of the Forum: http://www.altbierbude.de/component/
option,com_fireboard/Itemid,99/func,showcat/
catid,30/lang,en/
Keep your eye on the 'Forum Latest Subjects' to find what car we will be using. http://www.altbierbude.de/component/
option,com_fireboard/Itemid,99/func,view/catid,30/
id,22457/lang,en/#22457
You can join or leave at any time that you like.
Cheers,

Hey Gordon, I have been looking at this Capri V8 I have from Crocko 05 and have cut it down to remove the BMW CSL that seems to be causing some headache for some people. I have put it into my GTL install and been online and there doesn't seem to be any issues with it being there. Obviously I can't see it yet.
I am checking with Crocko 05 before I do anything with the file. I have left all his wording in the file but removed the reference to the CSL.
Once I get a reply, how can I get this file to you to see if we can use in your races? I can upload to my website for you to download. I think this would be a great car to include in your Wed and Sat night races!
It would be great if this can be in the full Bude as it handles and sounds awesome. The cars visual quality is very good and I am sure that a few others could produce some nice skins for it.
Cheers,
Dave...

those mods will never come to the Bude, because there are people outsidee with more abilities to give us great mods, they have build from scratch and not just playing with the engine files and put a australian v8 supercar engine in a bmw or capri.
i can also open the engine files and can give you a bmw or capri with V12 and 1500 hp, but what sense does it make????
regards,
ron

Like Ron said. No way for those kinds of modifications to the Bude's servers.

Cheers Ron, having driven a lot of the cars in GLT I have found this one (other than the BMW 320) to be about the best for handling, sound and power. Just my own opinion.
I'll just have to find someone else interested in it and have a private race!! :o) Sorry, I am a BIG V8 fan as you might have guessed.
I agree with what you said for some cars, but Australia did race the Capri with a V8 so it would be a legal car but maybe only for Aussie tracks. So far I have not seen any new cars for GTL, just skinned versions. When will we see some new cars?
Anyway, it was just a thought. See you on the track sometime!!

If you check out these so called 'mods'(I normally wouldn't even call it that, small changes in physics would be the right declaration) thoroughly, you'll almost always see that the cars he uses as basis for his change of physics are looking quite different than the GTL car where he puts it in.
For example the V8 Capri http://upload.worldofplayers.de/files3/34038.jpg
http://upload.worldofplayers.de/files3/330701.jpg
Does this look like the GTL Capri? No not at all. Different wheels/rims, totally different bodywork.
Same story with the Porsche 934, 911 Turbo street using rims from GTR4u without knowing who made them and so on.
Or the other 'tuned' stuff, like the 'Tuned Porsche' which should represent the Yellow Bird of RUF, they didn't even take the effort to put on the correct wheel/rim combination. Not to mention all the Mini stuff. Mini powered by Honda Cars like this are better off in a game like NFS or Flatout or GTA SA.
If you want to see how a FULL MOD is done check out GTR4u Mod section, there are people who take this story very serious. There are cars in work like the brilliant Skyline GT-R, BMW CSL Turbo with changed bodywork and more. Another good adress is Butch: http://www.kcendra.com/nfsbolide/nfscars.php?
game=gtl
He gave us the lovely Aston Martin DB4.

OK. I see what you mean. The car in the pictures looks nothing like the actual one he built for GTL..
Anyway, I have found that V8Factor on RFactor is the best for V8 driving. For me anyway and I will stick to the legends here.
Appreciate all your replies. I am new here and new to online racing so not sure what goes and what doesn't.

Look forward to it.
Actually, the early Aussie V8's where awesome cars. The Monaro and the Torana.
