wollte nach längerer Pause nochmal mit dem painten anfangen. Da es mein alter PC nicht mehr tut,hab ich mir auch aus Platzgründen einen Laptop mit Windows 8.1 gekauft. Bisher habe ich immer mit Gimp gepaintet und dann das ganze mit dem DDS Converter 2.1 konvertiert. Beim DDS Plugin von Gimp kann ich leider keine Mipmaps einstellen und der Konverter funktioniert mit Windows 8.1 irgendwie nicht. Kennt jemand eine brauchbare Alternative? Hab bei Google bisher kein Programm gefunden was funktioniert.

export a DDS file with GIMP containing 11 mip maps, then reimport the DDS and delete mip maps #6 to #11.
(Mip maps #1-5 are afaik the proper mip maps.)
And finally export the DDS again and chose the option "save with existing mip maps".
This should do the trick.

Sorry, forgot to mention: You first have to download and install the DDS plug-in for GIMP. No big deal, easy to find.
